no Custom Robo Arena? :( I like it better then the GameCube version since the DS one is morer fun, I kinda forgot why.
My nickname is JAR so if you see it on my badge then you now its me. Glomping me is alright just as long as you warn me and you don't do it from behind without warning. Oh yeah and please don't smell bad before you go to the FanimeCon, I can't really live with the smell of B.O. just at least shower, use deorderant, and a lil' pinch of colonge before you go. Nobody wants to hang around someone who doesn't shower.

If you play Custom Robo Arena on your DS, please please lets get together and vs each other aas long as your not too good at it I know I'm not the best player. If you're a big fan of Hellsing then we should get together and hang out man.

P.S. I've never been glomped at the FanimeCon
yeah I hope there's a gathering in San Jose somewhere close to where I live.

General Anime Chat / Any Hellsing fans out there?

anyone like Hellsing? I know there are ppl out there who do. Who wants to talk about it, yeah? alright if anyone knows Alucard really is Dracula, I know spell his name backwards there were ppl who didn't think that was true, then tell me when did you find out he was. I knew eversince the 13th episode of the TV series.

I don't about this but, has any1 ever seen a scary anime? The things is that there are'nt many anime that are scary enough to keep someone awake at night, like hellsing isn't really scary, but mabye you can scare a little kid with the parts that show Alucard with his teeth those things are huge! I showed a part from volume 3 to my friend and he said that I read some freaky shit (not in a bad way).

did anyone kknow that the Ring was a novel before the movie? And it was a manga too!?!?!? I don't know when the Japanese version of the movie came out, but the Ring manga that I saw came out before the American movie version.
thanks for the tips guys but I don't think I'll be doing Yoshi anytime soon, so don't be expecting a Yoshi cosplay from me within a few years.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, wait does that count for foam nunchakus? So foam weapons don't count? Because they are softer than wooden weapons obviously.
Thanks, but I didn't mean I was looking for something thatt had to be leather though. Well I have round sunglasses that are red, I should've gotten the yellow one instead. The coat is the thing that I find most difficult, I have a red women's coat in my closet (I don't remember why) I just need to make it longer so it can be more like Alucard's, but the problem is that I can't find a coat the same materiel and exact color unless I can just take it to this fabric store and ask them to make it the way I want it to be but how much will it cost. Hmmmmmm I'll check with them. thanks for your help man.

A friend of mine hugged somebody who had a sign. I jokingly say "I'll attack from behind". The hugger turns around and hugs me with a tight grip. She basically crushes my neck. So I bear hug her off the ground. That was fun.

My girlfriend carried her Guitar Hero guitar for her toki wartooth cosplay while we walked to McDonalds. Some fat douche waits till he has passed us by ten feet. He then yells "guitar hero sucks". I responded with "just like your mom does on me". He didn't respond.

Nice one d00d *hi fives*

Let's see (for now):

- "Accidently" triggering the fire alarm by spray painting the wiimote cosplay.  Oops.  Luckily, the staff at the hotel didn't fine us.
- Being glomped by 3 random girls for pretty much 30 minutes or more.  I couldn't escape that at all.
- A friend of mine borrowing my Wiimote to play Max300 in DDR Supernova.  Nuff said.
- Someone showing a white stain after getting out of the Hentai panel.  I kid you not.
Lmao! a white stain! rofl! that person probaby did put some stuff or something durnig teh hentai as a joke dude, I don't think any1 is pathetic enough to masturbate in room full of people.

"Jump, kashira!"

Craziest thing for me was sitting at an Artist's Alley table with my friends and being asked for a commission.  You see... I'm not an artist.  But she paid me anyway!  Thanks, Kingdom Hearts crazed girl!!  : 3

yeah, was she cosplaying as Sora right? Becasue I couldn't tell if you meant that she was cosplaying or not?

I would love to have a 'Maid Cafe'. Maybe that can be one of the events but not done daily. A couple of reasons I can't have it daily would be finding staff that would want to dress as maids and there's a bar across the street. I wouldn't want the drunks coming in harassing the girls. I already have some pervs that come in when our female staff is on.

BUT, I would do it as an event. Like for one weekend. Maybe I can colaborate with Fanime's Maid Cafe and we can work together to raise funds to help out the Maid Cafe for '08. (That's if there's going to be one next year).

heh heh no lousy drunks are gonna ruin dat, I can volunteer as a guard, I know martial arts. Please! Yeah how about it? I need suspense in my life! I really do, I lead a boring life. I'm serious.............................

Anyways, I heard from some1 that they can just take a light rail, which one is it? I hope its the VTA. Wait are you guys open yet? or are you still getting things ready?

Oh about having it anime themed, don't put too much or too less. Put up at least some of the older anime shows like: Go Speed Racer, Astro Boy, Voltron to attract some of the "older" folks, I've known a few adults how loved those anime shows when they were kids and it might actually work! But put the posters all at once, do it from time to time like every 4-7 months. Try to add other themes to attract other type of people, try putting stuff to attract rockers, add a few things to attract those who like Rap and Hip Hop. Oh when you have a time in the Cafe that will show an anime playing, try something not too silly, not too perverted, not too violent, not too cheesey if theres any out there, no bad language.

Have a normal everyday Cafe menu with your average coffee, lattes, hot coco, bagels, donuts, and other sorts of drinks in a lil fridge. Just do something that'll make people like your Cafe better than Starbucks.

Wow starting up a business that's waaaay beyond my level.

My advice is stick with a consistent theme and do NOT add too much selection on your menu.

For example I once saw a restaurant that tried to sell:
1) Chinese food
2) Hamburgers
3) Donuts
under the same roof --> TOTAL disaster.

I guess the owner thought he could get more customers by adding a greater selection of unrelated items, instead he scared people away. I didn't bother to even step inside. The thought of eating donuts with the smell of Chinese food in the air or eating Chinese food with the possibility of hamburger grease mixed in wasn't very appetizing. *runs away*

Call me weird but I think a restaurant / cafe with only 10 items can defeat another with 100 items on the menu. An extreme example - (In-n-out burgers vs. McDonald's). People keep on choosing In-n-out even though the selection is ridiculously limited.

Because In-n-out does fries and burgers better then anyone else. They've got the manual potato cutter gimmick which I never get tired of. How can any other burger joint claim to have fresher french fries when In-n-out is the only place that literally cuts the potatoes into fries right in front of you!

It's better to do 1 thing the BEST (that no one else can do) rather then try to do 100 things that anyone can also do.

I hope I wasn't getting off topic

and good luck!!! ^_^

Good point d00d, I guess its because some ppl wanna avoid pressure of having a choice of so many things, well I can't tell the differnce between certain foods.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned Viz. I know they're local.  :D
We're in San Bruno, CA on San Mateo Ave. The shop is called Never Too Latte. It was a pre-existing coffee shop that we took over and now we are converting over to our anime theme. We also want to promote other art as well, for example we have some stuff posted up from a local Photographer up right now. We are slowly breaking in the locals to our anime theme (don't want to freak them out right away  )

oh and here's some info for now:

Awwwww man San Bruno, damnit! I was hoping it would be at San Jose, man. Oh by the way isn't there a maid cafe at the FanimeCon?

ok I know that minors can't purchase weapons at the FanimeCon, but does that count for foam and wooden weapons?
