Need A Room!

+ Introduction:
Hey my name's Amy! I'm a 25 year old female from California and this will be my sixth time at Fanime. I'm an easy-going fun-loving person and a definite night owl; I love being able to just kick back and laugh while having a good time and making new friends. Overall I'm real easy to get along with, don't believe in taking what's not mine, and in case you were wondering I regularly bathe and change clothes (I know that can be an issue with some con goers so I figured I'd throw that out there). I also pack pretty light since I don't cosplay so I don't plan on taking up much room. I'm cool with sleeping where ever and I actually have my own air mattress so I definitely don't need a bed spot. Overall I just plan on having as much fun as possible and I'm super stoked for Fanime 2015!

+ Hotel Information:
Ideally I'd like to stay at either the Marriot, Hilton, Fairmont, or Hyatt from at least Friday to Monday (although I'm open to staying Thursday and even Tuesday as well).

+ Requirements:
I'm really not picky when it comes to living conditions or the amount/type of people I room with. I'm perfectly comfortable rooming with both guys and gals of almost any age range.  The only real exception to this is small children and infants, just because rooming with kids adds a layer of responsibility I'd rather not deal with while on vacation. I'm also cool with couples of any orientation as well as large groups, after all the more the merrier, right?  And lastly while I personally don't smoke I don't care if you do, I also don't care if you drink because in all honesty I'll probablly just bring a bottle and share it with you.  ;D

+ Contact:
The easiest way to get a hold of me would be through Fanime's pm system, but if you'd like you can shoot me an email as well at [email protected].  From there we can always swap phone numbers if it looks like we're hitting it off.

+ Miscellaneous:
While it's not a must, I'd love to be able to crash with some fellow night owls, and drinking night owls would be a major plus! For the past couple cons I've roomed with people who had early curfews and were super strait-edge, and while we totally got along, I found myself getting bored a lot. I'd like to be able to have a bit more fun this time around and not have to constantly worry about being back by midnight only to lie on the floor quietly for hours until I pass out from sheer boredom. Q w Q   So if you like to party or even just being sociable please save my con experience by letting me room with you!

Thanks for considering me as your roomie for Fanime 2015; if you have any questions or think we might be a good match feel free to contact me anytime.  Here's hoping to hear from you soon!

Video Programming / Re: Abridged anime
May 17, 2013, 11:29:07 PM
This year it'd be cool to see Team Four Star's Hellsing Ultimate Abridged, it's short but every bit as good as their DBZ abridged series.

Also, I'd love to see the YGOTAS Bonds Beyond Time abridged movie shown this year.
It was released in fall 2011 but didn't make the cut for Fanime 2012 (which was a little disappointing).
It really is a must see as far abridging material goes, and it blows the older YGOTAS movie out of the water.

Panels and Workshops / Awesomely Bad Jock Videos
June 11, 2012, 01:51:14 AM
Not sure if this is the right place but here goes:

For starters, I've attended this particular panel for the past two years and it's always good fun.

Just one question though; can I please get some help finding the video where the aliens invade the earth?
They (the invaders) cover their faces with television screens displaying the faces of what I assume are the band members as they take over.
I believe the song may be called "Shiawase Desuka" but every time I search for the vid. under that name all I can find is some jpop girls group.
Any help in this endeavor would be much loved, thanks!

I know this has been mentioned at least once before so forgive me for beating a dead horse, but seeing on how popular they've become in recent years I think it'd be a good idea if Fanime could invite someone from the abridging community.

An abridger that I'd especially want to see is Martin Billany, better known by his screen name LittleKuriboh (or CardGamesFTW). He is the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, and was the first to make an abridged series.  He also lives right here in California and he released a new YGO Abridged movie this November so this would be an opportune time to have him as a guest.

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Parking?
May 24, 2011, 06:35:39 PM
Could someone help me clarify this please?

According to other posts on this thread, if you park at the E. San Carlos St/ S. 3rd St garage (aka the one across the McDonalds) you can get your ticket validated at the Tech Museum to make your ticket cost just a $5 flat rate instead of hourly.  How exactly do you go about getting your ticket validated? Do you have to buy something from the museum, and if so does anyone know how much it costs? And is this garage a different one from the Third Street Garage at 95 N. Third St., just north of Santa Clara Street?

Also, I just need parking from 6pm until 10pm on Day 0 so I was wondering if anyone knew any better parking spots near the con that are maybe cheaper? (exact addresses would be loved since I could just input them into my GSP) I've looked here (http://www.sjdowntownparking.com/free_parking.html) but I'm unfamiliar with the SJ area and can't seem to make much sense of their maps.  ^^;

Well thanks in advance for any help given, it's much appreciated!

If anyone from the stockton/lodi/manteca area needs a ride I have some extra space in my car.
You wouldn't need to pay for gas or anything like that but if you'd like to chip in it'd be appreciated <3
Just shoot me an email at [email protected] if interested!

I just wanted to stop by and say thanks to the Socal Host Club for working so hard to pull this gathering together. I know it was small but I still had plenty of fun.  And who knows, maybe next year it will be much bigger and we'll end up with a few less Kyoya and a few more Mitsukuni xD  Anyways, thanks again, and I can't wait for the 2011 gathering ^_^

Ello everybody!
I just wanted to stop by real quick to say that this gathering sounds like a real blast and that I'll definately be attending;
I'll be cosplaying as Haruhi Fujioka, and I can't wait to get together with all my fellow host club members!  ;D

Ok so we're talking about over done dances right?

Well I was just wondering if anyone's ever seen the japanese numanuma done at a con before?
It's right in between caramell and hare hare difficulty wise, although I'm not sure if it's as popular...

Big Event Showcase / Re: Musicfest Questions
February 16, 2010, 04:11:11 PM
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm new to this too and I also have a few questions about Musicfest.

1. Is it a part of the convention / where is it going to be held?
2. Does it cost extra to attend, and if so how and where can I get tickets?
3. Is there any sort of dress code or items we're not allowed to bring?
4. Is LM.C the only band playing?

Sorry if that seems like a lot of questions, and thanks in advance for all your help!
