Now there are only 51 days from this message post.
Starting to feel like Walter Bishop in the show Fringe. Only difference is I'm not dropping acid like him, but my concern is growing.

The last couple of years the Artist Alley has become similar to the Merchandise room. I remember how the AA looked a few years ago and now the table displays are just getting bigger and taller. Also it's getting too competitive so all that's left is the Art Show. So I'm with you. I may have not made any money last year but I sure don't want the Art Show to just fade off. I get the feeling the Fanime just doesn't take it seriously anymore, or if ever.

I've been going to the Fanime since 1997, I've been in every Art Show, and I've sold pieces in every one except last year which was a big ol' goose egg.
Last year Cynlie Wang was a fill in for the Gallery and will not be hosting the next one. I've contacted Jonathan Crawford at Fanime Fan Services and he says "We have not yet decided upon the format that Art Gallery will take for the 2016 convention. Please watch our website, Facebook and Twitter accounts for information as it becomes available"  ???
It's only roughly 55 days until the Fanime opens and I'm concerned that there may not be an Art Show this time.  :'(
I'm hoping to get any information soon because it'll determine whether it's worth coming back to or not.

Good news.  :D  have received confirmation that yes there will be an Art Show this year.
I was really worried there for a bit.  ::)  Looking forward to being on display again and see
new and returning artists fill up the art show once again with great works like last year.  ;D

I certainly hope there IS an Art Show this year because the Fanime would be the poorer without it.   :-\
It just has to happen considering all the artists from last year that made the Art Show sold out for the first time as far as I can remember in my over 10 years of displaying art in the Art Show.  :o

Well my number is 4505.  :'(
Guess I'm out. That would make it 3 years in a row with no table.  :'(
It's good to know that there are more fans coming to the Con and AA but
just stings a little that my luck has turned worse than a lottery scratcher.
Just have to try again next year.

I'm in agreement with cutekick. ;) I realize it must be a daunting logistics task (which I can not begin to imagine) but I'm getting rather antsy myself. I've missed the opportunity to have a table two years in a row and now I'm worried, though it sounds weird, that I might just get a table this time.  :-[
