Big Event Showcase / Re: Fanimaid 2012~
January 16, 2012, 03:07:52 AM
I was a fanimaid last year and it was my first time.  I had an excellent experience!  I got to make new friends, learn dance routines for the live performance, and of course the excuse to dress up in a cute maid outfit.  The Fanimaid experience will be what you make of it.  You can go all out participating in the quiz academy and live performances.  You can take this chance to meet fellow con goers and even make friends from there.  What appealed to me the most was the "family" aspect of Fanimaid.  Even when Fanime is over and we take our separate ways, we still keep in touch creating a lasting friendship.  Everyone works hard and supports each other to bring in the culture of Maid Cafes to the US.  In addition the Fanimaid staff is very vigilant about the security of their maids so rest assured that you'd be volunteering in a safe environment.

XD Wait, so 3:30 pm on Friday we're meeting at the fountains?
#9
I think Friday 3:30 PM sounds good...but that's personally to my convenience haha...I have a Nagi to bring along.  And possibly a friend to be Aya-chan.

The mall...but that's a really hard place to start anything.  U_U Fanime itself is a good place because you already know they have some sort of same interest as you.  I can't say "don't be shy" because it really is hard to walk up to someone and say "hey. :D"  But it's something that can be worked on.  What do you really have to lose.

Outside of Fanime...joining clubs or sports?  Or some event?  :] Women aren't going to flock to you, so yeah.  A little effort can go a long way.

Who's still up for the gathering?  Post a hi or something and if there's enough I'll give a word to the Gather Lister

Quote from: "Ayanami Rei First Child"
Quote from: "steve bennett"You need to stay off the computer more, and go out and live life more ofthen Ayanami friend.
The panle should be able to help guide you in that direction then.

Well I HAVE been getting out more often, but mostly within my own local group. I been trying to go to a local tabletop gaming place...but when I went I didn't see any women around ^^;; I'm not very good around other people, and I'm too shy to say much around girls @.@

Uh. Ayanami...most girls do not go to tabletop gaming.  Try looking at other venues. :)

....I am. Really. Really. Curious about this panel...past years I thought it was lame, but this year I'm definitely checking it out to see what shows up and what kind of advice is given out.

woohoo all cast and crew. SO. what are the chances of getting GensouKai cosplayers?
#15
Anything goes at yaoi con haha.  Though I'm not so motivated to go there.
#16
I have a friend who did Muraki...but I'm not sure if she'll be wearing him again.  Yami no Matsuei is like an extinct/really really endagered cosplay.

Normal.  I can get a hold of a cinabon box though. :)

I can be Tsuzuki.  P.S. Were you Raito last year?
