Saturday/night.. Stayed up to 4am with some good friends since highschool. Hanged out with my girlfiend, watched AMVs, rocked hard at Musicfest,drank myself silly, watched hentai somewhat drunk then watched my friend pee 7 stories out the hotel room window because it was closer than the bathroom.. hehe Thank god there wasnt anyone down there.. Golden shower for the stinky otakus anyone??.. LOL

Did you even see any H-Night showings? Pleanty of Yuri there. Plus in a regular room sunday afternoon there was "Girls High".

I went one night, but then was dragged off to randomly play Duck-Duck-Goose.  :lol: And isn't Girl's High a comedy?  I didn't get to see that (it was on at 11pm) because some stuff that happened after Masquerade (namely, leading a friend in a Menchi Dog costume back to the hotel).  But if it was, that's cool - it's just hard to tell when Yaoi has it's own block (several of them) but most people can't spot Yuri by title alone.  :wink:

Shure Girls High is a comedy, all girl anime with pantie shots and fanservice everwhere. I would have to say Girls High is light Yuri.  Yuri doent have to allways have sexual intercorse. Its allso about girls relationships with each other just like yaoi is not all sexual aswell.

Overall, I thought the con was a nice improvement compared to previous years.  Stage Zero was good.  I liked the bigger artist area.  The dance in a smaller room was good, although perhaps one a little larger next year would be good (but definitely not the huge hall used in 2005).

My main complaint is about video rooms 6 and 7, which happened to be showing 90% of the anime I wanted to watch (yeah, I'm a shoujo addict).  If there were more than around 10 people in the room, some of the people will not be able to see the subtitles, since the subtitles were at a lower height than where people's heads were, so I always had to end up sitting on the floor, or slouching a massive amount to the people behind me could see.  If you're to use those rooms again next year, even though it would make the visible screen smaller, I'd recommend tilting the projector up, so that the bottom of the visible screen is just above top-of-head level, then most everyone should be able to see the subtitles comfortably.  Anyway, it was still a nice improvement over the TV that was plugged in one of those rooms last year!

I agree.. I had to move to the front of most rooms so I could read the subtitles.. I dont care if you have to make the projection smaller. Just arc the projector a little higher please.

No mosh pit kinda sucks but I understand since there is little ones up there. Started one 3 times but got shut down in about 10 to 20 sec. Darn you fanime bouncers.. tee hee. Compared to some concerts ive been to the volume was too low.. Yes too LOW. hehe Uphold rocks! Im a total Metal head.

Maybe next year have one j-pop and j-goth groups?

Had a great sleep at the crowne plaza.. Thoes beds are soo comfotable.  I really hated the TV. Had an old POS. Other than that it was a good place. Just didnt like the walk to the hotel late at night. Got bother by the homeless and downtown san jose weardos. Scary walk at night by yourself. Next year im staying at a nice extra large room at the Hilton or marriott.

Please for the love of god dont have the fanimecon BB panel as the last thing next year.

I chk in at 9am last year at the Marriot. It depends if rooms are free. 12 noon is usaly your best bet.

I bring my ps2 every year to fanime. I allso have every AV cable you can hook up.. Even the old school cable one where you have to tune it to channel 3 or 4. I know how to take off thoes security things on the back of the TV to hook it up. - used to work with cable guys- If the hotel is nice you can ask the mant. dep to remove it for ya.
Last year at my hotel they had the srca and rca jacks in the front.  We only had one complant from the hotel because we made too much noise playing Tiko Drum master at 1am.. tee hee...
