As far as airsoft goes... it's impossible to glance at it and know that it's non-functional, and we don't allow any functional projectiles of any kind.

What if, say for instance, the trigger has been removed?

I'm completely okay with that, but do you mind if I ask why?

Can I use an Airsoft gun as a prop if it has an orange tip and is not functional?

For arcade:  I would like to suggest the return of that amazing candy machine.  All hail the king of candy games!

This might be a tall order, but I think just maybe there could be enough people for a gathering of characters from games made by Goichi Suda and Grasshopper, his team.

If anyone has plans to cosplay as any of his characters please say so and if anyone has interest in this gathering please express it here so I know I'm not crazy(You'll never convince me that I'm 100% not crazy).

Wha-what?  What's this about not being able to have TVs for console games except for TVs for tournaments?  I hope that doesn't happen.

My group could be as many six people at the moment.  Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.  I think I have the issue all settled.  This will be my very first con(that I didn't staff) where I actually get a hotel room attached to the con.  I really think it will make the con experience a lot easier.

It will only be a change of 1 hotel to 1 other hotel very nearby each other.  Im thinking that check-in/out wont be too hard.

I have actually decided to book rooms at multiple hotels since none of them rooms available for every day of the convention.   I hope this isnt a bad idea.

I've kind of worked my problem out with hotels available on the fanime website, but when I try to book my room the reservation fails to go through and I get a "This operation has timed out" webpage.  It would be really stupid if I couldnt get a room because the site was down.

I'm looking for a hotel within walking distance....unfortunately for me everything from the fanime website is already booked (doubletree isnt in walking distance), so I tried the same place I went last year (HoJo) and their website is also saying they have nothing available!!!  And I'm booking earlier this year than last!

Is there any hotel available within walking distance of the convention center????

Oh and, for any games in general, tournaments with some form of seeding and consistent rules.  2010's "1v1 SSB Brawl tournament" had no seeding at all(so people who signed up together were the first to fight each other) and the first two rounds of the tournament were 3-way or 4-way Free For All matches.   I have nothing against free for alls, but dont say its a 1v1 tournament if its not.  Also,  there is no better way to ruin a gaming experience for people than to have a tournament and make them face their friends from home who they came to the con with in the very first round.

I must have had my picture taken 15 times throughout the entire convention, but I have looked through this thread and the sister thread on cosplay.com and have yet to see any pics of me or my trio.

I was the only MASK DE SMITH at Fanimecon this year.

Anyone get pictures of the Killer 7 group around the convention?

There were 3 of them(Mask/Con/Coyote).
