Hello Everyone Out There In The Fandom
We are already lining up vendors for our 2014 show. Was there anything missing that you would like to see for the future? Be as specific as possible and I'll see what dreams I can make happen....let me specify that I'm talking about products/vendors.
Thanks To All

Image Anime is on our line up to return.
This is the only question of this nature that I will answer until we go public with the website. Please limit this thread to new vendors or products. i.e. Import game company, a webcomic with a decent webstore presence, etc etc.
I think it would be cool if J-List would show up but their US office is in San Diego and from what I have seen they hit up the big cons that are not too far from that area (AX and SDCC), although this year they also went to Arizona.
As for products, I would say more shitajiki although that is very niche, less than a handful of vendors tend to stock them.
Product-wise, Kamen Rider stuffs. :p
Import Game Vendor! This hasn't been there for years now, it'd be awesome if it returned.

;) Workin on it. I noticed this missing as well.
I've stopped collecting merchandise for the most part. I'd like to see more one-time use or edible items from Japan.

...like the egg?
Video gaming merch. The glitch.com venders are pretty rad. But we should get some electronic vendors.
A video game dealer would be great since we haven't seen those in years.
I'd love to see MangaGamer come back, possibly Toylet, Hobby Link Japan if possible...and I know its a far fetched one, but...AMI AMI. Wouldn't that be cool?
I want to see more touhou, Persona, and Ami Ami, Manga Gamer would be cool too... please!
I think this is a stretch, but I'd love see any otome-related merchandise like otome games and drama CDs.
Would love to see that one dealer that sold Dakimakura covers all the way in the corner in 2013. Was totally awesome, they also sold pillows/stuffing as well. There was also this one Touhou-based dealer that sold Touhou Dakimakura covers as well, and he was near the center of the hall.. Don't know why I can't remember their store names, but I hope somebody else does.
Other than that, more Figure dealers that sell more... relevant merchandise? Maybe you can tell current dealers to stop focusing on irrelevant anime from a decade ago that don't sell and focus on stuff that is actually relevant-- this anime season/ maybe a of 3-4 seasons ago... is that possible?
Hello, I was just wondering how to sign up for the dealer's room. My boss owns a toy shop in Newpark mall in Newark and I told him about this convention because I went here last year. If you have any way we can contact you on how to get a booth please let me know
thanks! :)

You can get ahold of our Dealers Liaison by emailing dealersATfanimeDOTcom. We look forward to seeing you at Fanime!

What do I want to see?
Translated Light Novels
That and more manga. Reading material.
For non-literary merchandise...
Isumi from Hayate the Combat Butler (I have a bit of a thing for long haired kind girls)
One of those traditional Japanese stringed instruments
Candles/Lamps/Lighted Items
CDs of Traditional and/or light Japanese music from Anime
DVDs
Those traditional Japanese sandals

I agree with this! Like I completely understand that merchandise from more recent series might not be released yet and that there are fans of more vintage series (that's true for me as well) but it'd definitely be nice to see fresher material.
I would defiantly love to see videogame vendors and light novel translations.
I hope there are plenty of vendors who have some of the new Sailor Moon merchandise.
SRDX figures! I would love to see some older pvc!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm reading this. I'm happy to announce we should have a couple of videogame/software vendors including MangaGamer. Kinokuniya Bookstore will also be joining us this year.

I second this. In fact, I'd really like to see a vendor selling classic and old-school video game consoles and systems, as well as video game soundtracks.
I've seen the rare anime soundtrack vendor, which I've rather enjoyed, but thought that the Dealer's Hall could use the odd video game booth with various odds and ends.

Your best bet for that kinda stuff might be the Swap Meet and a WTS thread.
Regarding the old school video games. I was actually able to track down a vendor to join our show. I do not know if they cary sound tracks though.

I've found quite a few things through Swap Meet, that is very true. Is Swap Meet this year still scheduled on Thursday and Friday like it was prior years?
Anime sheet music and some actual current anime CD's would be great
Hopefully some Persona 3 Movie merch, including the water gun Evoker
I would really, really LOVE too have Good Smile Company in the dealer's room. Anyone agree? ;D
I mean, who isn't a fan of Good Smile Co and they're great work?? ;D
Kuroko no Basket merch would be highly appreciated: keychains, plushies, posters, prints, even figures. I understand it was fairly popular last year but that had something to do with the anticipation of the anime's second season airing, which we don't have this year.
A larger variety of pillows and dakimuras would also be fantastic. Somehow the 4-5 different designs I spotted last year all contained scantily-clad females around 15-20 years of age and large busts. Variety, indeed.
I really want to see Shakugan no Shana related things cause I love the series but saw almost nothing at dealers hall :(
My friend says that she'll only go to the convention if there's video game vendors. Are there any, though? I've never gone before, so I don't know.
Sadly fanime has been crapping out on video gaming anything in the dealers hall. I really hope this year is different. Last thing i bought anything video gamish was a pink psp in 2007. Thats kinda sad. Enough about the deadful past, i hope this year it redeems itself.

This year we have the return of Manga Gamer for your eroge needs.
We also have Once Upon A Video Game and Hot Toys joining us for classic and import games.
I hope this "redeems" us. ;D

I love Kinokunya! It's always been one of my favorite things about Japantown. I'll be sure to look for them specifically when touring DH this year. ;)

I'm excited about Manga Gamer, but what about imported eroge? I heard Hen Da Ne carries them, but it sounds like they aren't coming this year...
Im sooooo blowing my saved money on video games. Also pocky stix. :-)
