Julia (Cowboy Bebop)

?At least one older cosplay of mine (probably either Lady Blackpearl [Legend of Mana] or Ulala [Space Channel 5], though I might squeeze in Eruca [Radiant Historia] for the SMT gathering)

I'm so happy to see posts about Cowboy Bebop!  Also, my vote is for Ulala.  Without a doubt!

"union regulations at SJCC"???????  SERIOUSLY?  barf!!!  How insanely illogical!  Let's make a system LESS efficient by following inane "union" rules.  ugh!  I really hope that is not the case!

Well, I think everyone knows by now that the lines will be long.  Like I said before, waiting for hours was actually fun.  It was an interesting way to usher the weekend in.

Is it true that the non pre-reg people didn't have to wait very long?  Would it be worth it to just pay at the door?

General Convention Discussion / Re: Rude photo takers.

Perhaps there is an "art" to taking photos.  Cosplayers are there to show off their hard work and creativity and to be seen.  Photographers are there to help!  There is a social aspect to cons that is pretty awesome.  As long as there is respect and a basic understanding of basic social rules... it should be a brilliant collaboration!

I bring my camera and I am so totally blown away by the amazing creativity and work that I get caught up in wanting to capture it.  I also post my photos on flickr and love it when people find their photos and comment.  Photos are just a part of why I go, but it is a part for sure!

I don't know... it seems pretty simple to me...

Dealers Room / Wants!
January 22, 2013, 09:57:46 PM
Is there a place to post wants for vendors?  I have a small list of figures I am looking for... if vendors had a chance to see it, they could bring the pieces to the Con!!  Good idea????

Hello!  My favorite part of Fanime 2012 was meeting so many wonderful artists in Artists Alley.  I walked away with 6 amazing pieces and I hope to support the artists this year (2013) with commissions!  Is there a place where artists post their sites and their locations in the alley?  It's never too early to start planning!!!

Buy/Sell/Trade / (WTS/WTT) - anime figures
January 22, 2013, 09:42:54 PM
Hello!  I am not a business... just a private collector who lives in San Jose and who hopes to meet other collectors this year.  Fanime 2012 was amazing and I thought I would reach out early to see if there is any interest.  My goal is to sell/trade figures but for actual meetups at Fanime 2013.  Listing all 500+ figures I have here would be a monumental task, but you can see my collection on myfigurecollection.net here:

Respecting the rules of this forum, I am not sure how better to go about getting the word out... if you are going to be at Fanime 2013 and you are up for buying/trading... let me know!

The lines were INSANE!  And I live about a mile away from the convention center.  Luckily we met a lot of nice people and saw loads of great cosplay... so it wasn't THAT bad, but i really hope this year is better.

Please!!!
