Big Event Showcase / Re: An Cafe concert tickets

Quote from: Tony on May 20, 2008, 10:53:56 PMYou're telling me. I ordered tickets, then we reserved a room and arranged for catering in a 4-star hotel. The tickets just arrived, so no refund for those, and you can imagine what happens when you try to cancel a catered event in a 4-star hotel a week prior. (They don't give your money back.)

Shit, that's awful. :/
I'm sorry if I came off as a bitch, as you're under a lot more stress than I am, so thanks for dealing with me. xD;

Oh well~ we tried!  I'm still happy to see them and I plan on snagging an autograph ticket.  ;)
Thanks for your hard work.

Fair enough.  I can agree with that.  :P

I just feel like I should say something because I know I'm not the only person who feels the same way as I do.

That, and it's like 2 days before the convention, so the stress levels are going up, and for things to be changing now is a bit stressful for everyone.

I also don't see how it being different from Japan and learning another language has anything to do with it...

It's not required to speak english to perform music for fans here...  And saying it's a different tour from Japan is kinda irrelevant, as they're only playing one show at an anime convention, and then leaving.

If they were playing multiple shows, then I'd have more sympathy for them, but it's just one show.  It shouldn't be that hard for them as they just completed an entire tour in Europe.  :/

Just my opinions, though.

I understand that.

But what I mean is, was ancafe's management 100% in agreement with doing the reception when it was announced?
If that's the case, then it's ancafe's fault.  But if they hadn't made a solid decision yet, and the reception was still announced, then I think it was wrong to announce it at all.

I really do hope that the number of tickets for the autograph session goes up.

While I'm sure it wasn't your final decision, I feel it was wrong to get everyone's hopes up and then be like "OH WAIT GUYS, SORRY ANCAFE IS TOO TIRED TO MEET YOU".

So it'd only be fair to, I don't know, make 200 tickets available for autograph session instead of only 100.

I mean, there's already going to be a fuckton of pissed off cafekko, and ONLY letting 100 in, especially after finding out there's no reception?    It kind of makes you guys look like you don't know what you're doing..

While I'm really grateful for the hardwork you guys are putting into this, because I'm happy to even be seeing ancafe, it's still a huge disappointment for everyone else.  :/

So it'd be cool if you made up for it but letting more people into the autograph session.

If not, then.. well, not much I can say, really. :P

Wow.  I'm kind of disappointed because they did meet&greet at a large number of shows in Europe, but they're too tired for 100 cafekko?

Meh, whatever.  At least we still get to see them.

Fact of the matter is, people are still going to want all of the information NOW, whether you try to step in and be the fanime staff hero or not.

People are going to be selfish whether the staff is stressed and working their asses off, or not.

People are spending a shitload to come see this band and won't give two shits about anything else going on in the convention.  They're not going to care about you, the staff, any of the other attendees, only themselves.

That's something you have to deal with when it comes to these types of events.

Try not to worry! We're keeping cafekkos in mind very much, while also trying to consider the ~11,000 other people expected to come to the convention.

The ticketing plan has several characteristics to make sure everyone who wants to see An Cafe will get a chance. Such as...

- They are free (of course, you'll need a badge to get one!)
- There are 3,000 of them.
- Some will be saved for some time for An Cafe fans specifically.
- We're only giving out a certain amount per day; there will be tickets left on Sunday.

I intended to give more specific details and release the schedule today, but the band needs another day or so to confirm some things, and I don't want to put out information that later changes.

Oh wow!  Alright, I feel a lot better, now. xD
Thank you guys so much!

Well, the tickets are numbered but they're mainly used for a capacity basis. You can still line up for the actual concert as it is "first come, first serve" in terms of seating. However, we will discourage everyone from lining up until after the FMV's are over. Anyone lined up at the Civic before then will be for FMV's and not for MusicFest.

Tony and I are aware of our attendees coming in on Sunday just for the concert and have made every effort to be fair to them as well as everyone. I don't want to steal Tony's thunder but please be patient with the announcement of details. Otherwise, Tony will yell that I'm a bad boss. XD

Ahh, okay.  I'll wait for details. :3
And I know you guys are working really hard to get things organized and to get us all of the solid info, but I'm sure you can also understand why we're nervous, too. xD;
Just because a lot of us, like myself, are spending a few hundred dollars JUST to see An Cafe, so we're going to think of all that can go wrong, first. xD; So, I just want to make sure that everyone coming on later days will get a chance to grab a ticket before they're all gone.

Thanks so much~

Now the only thing I'm worried about is if the tickets will be given out first come, first serve, and I'm assuming they will have a number? I don't think you can really do it depending on when you registered, so I'm guessing that's really the only way it can be done (which really sucks for the people not showing up until the day of number wise, but if people know how to work a concert they can still get a good spot at least)

That's one thing that worries me a bit.
I'll be showing up with phen on Saturday, and I'm paranoid that all of the tickets will be gone because they'll be given out on friday or something. :/  Since we're driving up from LA, we obviously can't be there at 7 in the morning. . . but, yeah I'm sure you guys will figure something out. @w@
