I didn't know who Flow was before this. I flew in just for LM.C. But I LOVE music and concerts, so I figured I'd go see them. I got a pretty close seat on the right. And they were really great!!!!! They were so much fun! I loved when they played Surfin' USA!! lol, and then they had us all do the wave!! It was so awesome!

And that's SO sweet that they wanted to come back!! And I love how much they loved the audience. I really didn't like the chairs though  >:( Concerts are way better when you can actually be close to the stage and be right next to the band. And it did feel really awkward to dance around and rock out to them with everyone all spaced out and such.  :-\  But Flow was really awesome!! I'm definitely getting them on my iPod!  ;D

I'm not very familiar with the San Jose area, but it was the hotel across from that fountain place. It was the hotel on the right, with the big locked doors and had that hallway that was outside overhead, and you had to walk undrneath it to get to the next street with that trolley thing that leads to the starbucks where I ran into them on sunday
Gosh Danggit!! I stayed in that hotel!! lol  I didn't get to run into them at all outside of the scheduled events. I was so jealous when I heard from people that they were around the convention on Saturday. I went back to the hotel a little earlier that night to try and get a decent amount of sleep to wait in line at 6am the next day for the concert, since there wasn't really anything else on Saturday that I wanted to do, since I just came for LM.C.

And that is so awesome!! When Maya asked you to come up and he took your hat!! I was super jealous, haha. And also when he had that girl come up on stage because it was her birthday! gah, I was so tempted to say it was my birthday when he asked and no one was saying anything. But I just couldn't lie to him, haha.

It's alright though, I am very satisfied with just getting to see the concert! :)  And then I got to go to the Q&A and sat right in the front row, Right in front of Maya! :D And then getting to meet them was just AMAZING!!! I felt so much like crying! And I've never understood why people cry and stuff when things like this happen, and I like never do it, but I could definitely feel tears coming up, and I had to stop myself cuz I didn't want to just be crying my eyes out in front of them, lol.

But next time they're here, I'm definitely going to try and wander around a bit more and Definitely not going back to the hotel early!! haha

To confirm, when I get out of the Q&A I can go straight to the autograph line and still get an autograph? As long as I'm in line by 1 PM? When do you cut off the line and/or end the autograph session?

Yes.  LM.C wanted to meet all their fans at FanimeCon and have asked for a 2 hour Autograph session.

aww, that's so sweet  ;D Thank you! Now I don't have to worry so much

I just wanted to make sure I knew how the autograph session and q & a were going to work. So, are they going to be in two different areas? On the schedule I just saw the q & a listed.

And also, I was kind of worried about getting into the autograph session if I went to the q & a. For example, a lot of people might choose to wait in line for the autograph session instead of going to the q & a, so I wanted to know how that was going to work.

So will we not be able to get a picture with the band at all??? :(

Who knows, though we were rather surprised when they allowed us to take pictures(no flash) of An Cafe at the Q & A. But don't get your hopes up just yet, since LM.C are on a different level. I'm just happy that we're allowed to meet them personally at the autograph session, that's more than enough for me :D.

^^^
True Facts! ---  :P that mob was going to hang me after an entire weekend of preaching NO PHOTOGRAPHY with An Cafe two years ago ---> until a random music fest staff member told me that no flash pictures were ok.  O_O  ->     >_<    ->    T_T

But on a serious note, please understand these performers are sometimes are under VERY VERY strict rules about NO photography in general, it would be a mini miracle to get a shot of these guys, let alone take a photo with them.

best thing to organize with your friends for the leaving the camera behind [as in leave it in your room - which you hope is easy to get to say in your hotel room or car] and then select someone in your group with fast [safe] quick traveling skills [no running please]   if and when a miracle happens...

...that random musicfest staffer was me yo =P Honestly, we were told the whole weekend no photography, and then we found out minutes before the Q&A that it was fine. So...just gotta learn to roll with it, I suppose?

As for LM.C,  so far, I believe there's no photography with their events, but I'll have double check once more (the concert DEFINITELY is NO PHOTOGRAPHY).

They just left to start their tour in Europe, sooooo it might take me a while to confirm yay or nay.

Thanks! And I understand, It'll be amazing just getting to see them. I was just wondering cuz I would LOVE to get a picture with them if at all possible. Even a picture with just my phone or something

One man's worth it is a another man's not worth it. :P

Them that line up extremely early could have their sanity questioned.  ;D

(then again, they already know they're insane.)
lol, Yes I am insane as well :P I went to see Blink 182 last August and we were there at 7am to make SURE we were the front of the pit. And yeah, I knew that was really crazy   ;D The security laughed, lol!

Thanks for the answers! That's sad that cameras won't be allowed though  :(  I love getting pictures and stuff of the concerts I go to.

Big Event Showcase / Musicfest Questions
February 15, 2010, 12:37:10 PM
Hi,
I'm completely new to all of this. I'm thinking about going, and I really want to see LM.C this year and I had some questions about how musicfest works. What time does the band usually play? Like, is it later in the evening? And how early do people usually show up for it? For example, if you wanted to be up in the front will you have to wait in line for hours.

Also, I saw that there'll be an autograph session the next day. Will that be limited to so many people? Sorry if these are stupid questions. I'm just trying to find out what I can about it. Thank you!
