Ah yes, I too am old-school.  Went to my first con in '98 at Foothill...I felt so confused and lost back then as a newbie.  '99 was a bit chaotic, considering the location change, my first time cosplaying, and having to take the SAT's that same weekend (btw, I ended up scoring higher than my previous one...coincidence?  I think not!).

I have to agree with Haruka about being mistreated by the Westin staff (considering I experienced some of the said harassment >:() and am very glad that we out-grew that location.

True, but notice that the room was full at every showing, all the way through till the end of the episodes.  Sometimes people watch such things so that they can find the humor in it...like why the hell does Sailor V run like THAT? Or CG/plushie Luna walking around...if I saw a plushie moving around and speaking its mind I'd have killed it then gone to see a therapist. XD

I prefer raw and subbed before dubbed, simply because the dubbed version can get so butchered and can lose some elements in translation.  However, there are some really good dubs (FLCL comes to mind) that I don't care which version I watch.

I'll probably regret posting this, but I got sex appeal also... *hides her Fangirl Totoro outfit* I have NO idea where that result came from...^_^;

I've been going to No Name for over a year(it's less than 10 minutes away) but school work has stopped me from attending the last two...I miss seeing Azumanga Daioh! XD Chiyo-chan's soo cute! ^_^

#9 is of Pegasus from Sailor Moon, and yeah, Idol Hands does do art work for Fanime. That picture is actually on the back of the Fanime 2K t-shirt...hehehe, Miyuki-chan in Wonderland ^_^

The third one I think is from Yorozuya Toukaidou Honpo, with the characters Yoshitsune & Kaori.  I checked my current bishie harem and that's who I recognized them as. ^_^ *goes and drools over her bishies*

:shock: *sits silently in shock*  ...I can now die happy...my obsession with everything Suzaku-related, and the 4 gods for that matter, has merged with my search for a larger bishounen harem.  Normally, people could say that Fushigi Yuugi has many bishies, which I agree with and most are in my harem, but it doesn't have all 4 of the human-formed gods at bishies...but I've found one that does!  Saint Beast has all four looking cute enough to fight over and a storyline that can sends fangirls like me into writing many yaoi fanfics...easily.  XD  I have a feeling I won't be able to sleep for quite a while now...my happiness cannot be expressed through words...I GOT TO HAVE IT!   XD *drools a river*

now i like tamahome and tasuki from FY. i can't decide which one i like better. I think tamahome is a little cuter but tasuki makes me laugh. ohhh the dilemma!

My poor Ayuru-chan...a jerk?  Well, considering what he's been through I think his actions are to be expected.  And most of the guys from Fushigi are in my harem...I just like the way Watase draws them! XD *sits in her Suzaku-seikun shrine*  I am the new miko, I am the new miko...I wish he'd listen to me sometimes...

I would say that's not true.  You can enjoy it without analyzing what the characters mean in depth.  If you want to look into the story's many hidden points, I would do that after watching it for the first time. *giggles* I still don't do that yet and I've seen it over 10 times! *huggles DVD*  There are some times which can be confusing because of the culture clash, but you can move on pass them pretty quickly.

Anyway, who was you first bishounen/bishoujo crush?  Considering I have my own harem of bishounen, I thought that looking back at the first was interesting.  Mine had been Van of Escaflowne...I LOVE winged bishounen! *drool* He's still part of my harem, but not my main one.  Which leads to my next question: who is your current crush?  Mine is the bishie-god, Suzaku-seikun of Fushigi Yuugi! XD Yet another winged bishie!  He's been my fav for years and I haven't yet found one that could replace him...of course, it doesn't help that Watase-sensei drew that one pic of him where he was wearing nothing...but his damn wing was covering the wrong part! :x I so wish I could reach in and move it! *nosebleed* :mrgreen:

You're the 3rd person I know born on Feb. 15!  The first is my mother and the second is my neighbor's son...My mom spent her birthday taking care of his older sister when he had been born. ^_^ Too bad he's turned into such a problem...he's 18 and just got arrested for DUI... :roll:

Could it be that some of us want to date anime characters because we like them? Sure!  

Could it be that anime characters are very attractive and appealing to the fans?  Of course!  

Could it be we have a love life but still wish we could find the real-life equivalent of our favorite bishie?   ^_^ Atashi!  Atashi!  

Or could it be that we have to choose from a group of people where some, like animesucksfatass, are just so digusting, unthoughtful and rude that there are no other choices?

At least I'm not the oldest here...I'll be 22 in June.  And I've yet to learn of anything of importance happening on my birthday...
