I know that I posed for a staggaring amount of photos.  A good number of them we're taken in the Artist's Alley on Saturday.  I was Vash the Stampede and I almost always had Dark Vash and/or Wolfwood with me.  Some of the shots with Dark Vash were some lightweight yaoi fan-girl service.  Someone in our group took photos of almost every single pose we did on Saturday (alas the only day I cosplayed) but I would be very interested in seeing other people's shots as well.
Are either of these you?

O-SNAP SON!!

Yeah you found me, bottom one :P  Many Thanks!

Big Event Showcase / Re: B&W Ball complaint

Well next year I wont be cosplaying as Wolfwood EVERY day of the Con, so i kinda toyed with the idea of volunteering for staff work next year (i'll be wearing a costume thats more intricate but easier to move/interact.)

Its nice to see that some staffers still cosplay, i find it makes interacting with them easier...geek-to-geek as it were, rather than Geek-to-Obvious-Authority-Figure.

As one of a dying breed (Trigun Cosplayers) I make a point of talking to people when i stop for photo breaks, be it with pro photographers or your average fangirl with a point&click.  I've got a girlfriend, am definatly not shy, and dont have a problem with meeting new people.  Even so, i feel that i can still inspire people (even after the Con) to go out and strike up conversation.  If someone asks to take your picture, strike your pose.  When the pictures are done start to talk, ask if they're a fan of the show, who they're favorite character is, what other series they watch, that sort of deal.  for three years now i have been grouping up with a pair of guys dressed as Light and Dark Vash the Stampede (Jeremy and Will respectively) and would never have developed a friendship with them outside of Fanime if i hadn't clung to them all weekend, taken photoes, eatten lunch, rocked out at the rave, and just generally shot the breeze with them.  Another awesome thing about Fanime is the size.  It isnt like ComicCon where the crowds resemble those of Disneyland.  Each year i start to reqognise more and more faces from the previous years.

That whole deal with "be yourself" doesn't make any sense to me.  We all come to Fanime to be someone DIFFERENT.  If we went as ourselves it wouldn't be nearly as fun. I'm Steve, but i don't go to Fanime as Steve, at Fanime i am Nicholas D. Wolfwood.  Different is what gets attention, Fanime is all about being who you WANT to be.

And on a side note:

I actully spent my first year at Fanime trying to pick up chicks.  then i realise that i was at an Anime Convention....
Then i thoug back on all the times i had successfully picked up a girl at an anime con....
then realised i never had....

Cons are for making friends, not "fuck-buddies"

Heh Heh...Welcome to Glomping Yuu :P

I'm just glad that my Cross Punisher is made of 67 Lbs of Solid Oak, At Fanime 2007 i accidently blocked a glomp and sent some little girl flying (i freaked and turned into the "omgomgomgomg imsosorrypleasedontkillme" person) but yeah...props have two uses :P

oh i know, and i was hoping that it would be the attendees themselves who would read this in the course of reading through other's feedback (much the same way i did).

So, I'm the Wolfwood that held my Cross Punisher up behind Cosplay Jesus when the protestors were out front of the convention center.  Does anyone have any pictures of the corss being raised behind jesus?  I been looking for one but havent been able to find one.

Named after my Paladin from World of Warcraft (*sniff* i miss him so much, oh the good times we had at Illidan's expense), used it becuase several people from my server, even people i have grouped/raided with attend Fanime.

I uh...heh...kissed another guy at Fanime.  I'm not generally one to consider myself homosexual in any way but my friend dressed as Vash and I (i cosplay every year as Wolfwood) got asked by these two real cute little girls if they could take a picture of us kissing.  We looked at each other for a moment and kinda did one of those ".....meh" moments.  Couple seconds later, a real akward kiss and a camera flash and the two girls gave us each a hug and pranced off.  Bout two hours later we're sitting in McDonalds down the street with Vash's girlfriend, Dark Vash and HIS girlfriend and he looks up at me and says...

"dude...we just kissed"

"..."

"you're a pretty good kisser"

AAANd right back into the french fries like nothing happened...

I know alot of people will disagree with me on this (and i guess thats kinda the point of this thread) but I honestly got up and walked out of the mascaraed with all of my friends after about the 8th or 9th group.  I'm tired of mascaraed shows that are based around inside jokes that you HAVE to be OBSESSED with the certain show to understand and find funny.  I laughed at ONE joke the entire time i was there, aside from that one joke i sat there confused doing my best to understand what was so damn funny.  Please for the love of god, come up with a mascaraed skit that most people (if not everyone) can benefit from.  In all honesty i saw my attendance (or rather what i did attend) of the 2008 Mascaraed to be a waste of my time.

Heh, im almost certain that Jeremy and Johnny (two of my personal Harem-o-Vashs) will be attending again next year.  I will be coming as wolfwood again.  This is less of a request for an organized gathering because we trigun-ers just kinda "find" each other the first day.  This is more of a desperate call for more Milly and Merle cosplayers...we had ONE two years ago and i didnt see one last year *tear* im sure our group makes the yaoi fans happy at least :P  but ladies (and or feminine men (honestly, i've seen a Man-Milly and risking personal shame ill say it wasnt half bad at all)) think of the other Con-goers :P

P.S.  im still raising funds for the subliminal massaging in your dreams.  ill simply have to annoy you into cosplay until the last of the donations comes in from the lobbyists.

Definatly bringing the Wolfwood swag as i do every year.  This year im gunna be interesting and throw the Reno outfit in for giggles.  I also have one more costume in the works but im a bit lazy.  I know that it belongs at Blizzcon more than Fanime but i plan to have a little pre-Blizzcon '08 showing of my T6 Paladin (cus i was lazy and couldnt be buggered to get offline and make it before Blizzcon this year -_-;)

P.S. if anyone else going as a trigun-er wants me meet up and parade around and generally amaze the Con with our combined sexiness send me a message and we'll get together.
