Also the people you meet at this con are ten times nicer and more relaxed; defiently has a the feel of a smaller con but its not.

I'm thinking that it's a Cali thing -- only place in the freakin' country where I'm willing to step into a Walmart because people are nice.

I think the biggest difference between Fanime and most other cons is the size and location. It's about a half hour's walk from San Jose's Japantown (which is closed Mondays, other than this nice shop that sells random anime merch).

I've been to fanime more often than any other con (which is funny since I'm an East coaster) and I feel that it's a bit more... laid back?

I'm actually kind of interested in working as an operator.  My biggest concerns are getting between Fanimecon and Clockwork Academy and a steampunk outfit -- would it be required to be wearing steampunk costume?

Thanks for including me; I think dinner would be fun! How about we go get ramen? There's a resturaunt down the street from the con with good ramen (too bad they don't have curry ramen ;P).

Unfortunately we have a good deal more work to do before Golden Sky Stories will be ready to sell, plus I'm not sure if we're going to be set up to sell stuff at the con in the first place. I haven't decided what exactly I'll be running, and to be honest I'm not super-confident running Magical Burst, but if there's enough interest I'll be willing to give it a try.

Ah, I understand.  I'll continue following and hopefully we'll see a kickstarter for it in the near future :D I think, regardless of what you run, people will have fun~

Heyo. Just wanted to add that I'll be at FanimeCon this year along with Bliss Authority, Ben Lehman, and a few others for Cel*Style stuff. I'm still working out what exactly I'll be doing, but a preview of Golden Sky Stories is a strong possibility.

Does this mean I can buy it at the con?
Also, what's the chance of a game or two of Magical Burst? It was a hit with the students I tutor, even though I had to change the game a bit to work with less dice rolls.

The level cap is less than 100 though, for all gyms (that, at least, should be public knowledge)...

I think they have. Or someone affiliated with them. They're a local seller so it'd make sense...

There' always at least one doll dealer, but if you're looking for too specific a dol (I.e. Mo-3 from DollZone), they probably won't have it. They carry one or two "basic" dolls for each size.

I grew up on classic reggae and still listen from time to time. Japanse reggae is also surpisingly cool.
