Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering/Event this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.
Welcome to the 2015 Soul Eater Gathering thread! I have had an absolute blast running this convention the past few years so I'll for sure be taking this gathering for another fun year! Unlike most years we will be launching this gathering on Sunday this year instead of the usual Saturday, if you have any major problems against this please feel free to message me otherwise I will try to hold it early enough in the morning to not conflict with any big gatherings/masquerade.Day: Sunday

Just logged on this morning to happily find that pre-reg will be opening on the 7th, was tad to see it opening this late along with the price having gone up compared to pre-reg last year... but at least it's finally up! ^^ I'd suggest all trying to snag it this month before the price goes up~

Please let me know if 11PM on Saturday works for everyone as a gathering time! I know last year the time was right ontop of lunch so I decided to put it a little bit before so that nobody is falling over from not eating x'D Would also love for anyone to stick around after the gathering and walk over to Subway for lunch, was great getting to talk to everyone last year I hope to see familiar faces as well as new ones this year![/size]

Is there a Facebook event for this? Just wondering, since it's easier for me to keep track of gatherings on Facebook. I'm going to try and take some pictures, since I'm not cosplaying from Soul Eater this year. I know Yuki-chan is wearing her Patty cosplay again, not sure if Uni-chan is being Excalibur again, but I'll probably bring them along anyway.

Okay cool :) And I actually hadn't made one on Facebook for this but I had made one for the Pandora Hearts so it probably wouldn't be a bad idea if I did it for Soul Eater as well, just had slipped my mind xD Guess it just mostly makes it harder to keep track of people once stuff goes on Facebook since I can't keep track of numbers here, I'll see what I can do though.

Okay so I found out that other than me coming as liz, my sister will for sure be crona and her boyfriend will be ragnarok, but the rest (kilik, stein, spirit, and death the kid) are all maybes haha
I'm going to be cosplaying as Marie Mjolnir :) I'll also be in a group with my boyfriend (Shinigami-sama) and I know some friends are planning on Maka, Blair, and Stein. SO PREPARE FOR US! >:D

we should do some scenes after! :) the famous episode 6 with soul and b*s bromance moment, spirit's good luck aura to maka, and we totally need to sing excalibur!
soul eater fanbase most be expanded once again! o:<
EDIT: more ideas! :D we should do little skits, improvising stuff you know :D this one might be a little silly but we can play some games like red light green light .w. Cough duckduckgoose cough haha, its corny but in the end it could be really fun to do! :)

Interesting ideas~ we'll definitely have some scene pictures to do that I'll add to the list when I start doing the photo order, and I know we will have one or two Excaliburs at the gathering so we'll definitely have to sing his song :) I'm pretty sure we'll be going out to lunch after the gathering since it's so close to that time (and it was much fun last year to eat and chat with everyone) but in all honesty I'm not sure I'll be able to hang around for too long afterwards since I have to go do a quick change into Cheshire to go run the Pandora Hearts gathering depending on what time the attendees decide on.

ANNOUNCEMENT!
Finished submiting information for gathering, there will be a change of location this year for the gathering due to the Final Fantasy gathering having priority claiming the location! We will now be at FMS = Front Marriott Side of the Convention Center Lobby (up in corner tree area) Which I believe is just across from where it previously was, correct me if I'm wrong though.
I find it ironic the other gathering I'm hosting is in the exact same spot too.... xD

Sorry everyone I had made a mistake of not changing it on here after getting approved via email about the gathering, our location has been moved due to another gathering already having priority in that location, so we will be at FiF CE MS = Flowerbed in Front Convention Entrance Marriott Side

Sorry my dad couldn't make it. We missed an exit on the drive down and got horribly lost. We were arriving when the gathering was supposed to start and we still needed to pick up our badges. Don't worry though. Lots of people took pictures of him so they're bound to show up all over the place.
Thank you everyone for making this years gathering a successful turn out and just an overall fun time! I'm awaiting pictures from the photographer that was with us but I will be posting the album as soon as I can, it will be located under the 2nd post which as of right now can be seen as a placeholder, if you have any pictures or albums of this shoot please post a link and I will add it to the list for people to find themselves~
I do plan to run this gathering again next year but I'll wait before opening it for Fanime 2013 since I'd like a break before adding people and there's not much point in planning that far in advance xD

So this gathering has no official time at the moment, I'd love to get a time frame people would like since I know last year I had many people complain there was an overlap with another 60+ gathering that was close in time.
If it would help to be earlier or later in the day please do suggest times, this goes for everyone!
The only reason I have kept it around lunch was that for the past 2-3 years it had been that time and everyone seemed to enjoy going out for a bite to eat afterward and hanging out to chat. I'm perfectly fine changing this if it would suit others better, or even open to suggestions of other after gathering activities :)
I'm planning to go as Liz again with my sister as Crona haha not sure who else is going with us, but there will probably be more than just the two if us XD

The only other time I would physically be there is Monday, since I've had a pattern of not managing to show up until later on Fridays due to classes, which tends to be a less than popular day for gatherings since a lot of people who aren't local tend to leave already. That's my experience with it at least. Pokemon gathering was actually the one that I think was causing the problem with attendance for some if I recall correctly.
I mostly just want to change times if anything because I run this gathering and Pandora Hearts which I tend to prefer doing the same day... ^^;
I'd keep it on Saturday, that's the day it's been on for the past four years. As far as times go, I think having it noontime has worked out fine because it seemed like having lunch was always nice.
I plan on taking photos of the gathering, unless I managed to finish Soul's alternative outfit which I've been working on when I have the extra cash. xD

I noticed Bleach is apparently right in the spot before our gathering, last year I had problems with them running over their allotted time slot. Just letting you all know even if they are still there find me, I will be wearing this version of Maka (https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/424977_3846291554562_1541253318_n.jpg), so come gather where I am at so we will be able to pressure them out of the spot if it happens again. I'm looking into submitting the time this year for around 3pm on Saturday, feedback is much welcome if that is an alright time or not... unfortunately it means there will not be a lunch after the gathering this year due to a friend having notified me that there are several major gatherings behind held close to the time that would more than likely take away from our attendance. So far not too many people seem to have signed up so I'm going to have to see how many attend before I submit for an official time.

Hello everyone! Unfortunately I have to announce that I will not be submitting this for a gathering this year due to it having less than 5 people RSVP. The past few years seem to be getting smaller and smaller from what I have seen but 5 RSVPs is rather shocking of a drop compared to the gradual slope it had been taking. It's not anyone's fault of course, I just am going to be very busy during Fanime and while I had been alright doing a quick change for a medium/larger gathering I can't do so for one this small. Sorry! :( That being said, if someone else would want to take over they are more than welcome to and I can minorly assist in showing them the process if they need it. Otherwise I'd suggest maybe just a small unofficial meet up(s) if people want photos together, to which please feel free to use this thread to help find each other!
