Guests I would LOVE to see at Fanime:
-Eric Vale
-J. Michael Tatum
-Todd Haberkorn
-Patrick Seitz
-Christopher Bevins
-Crispin Freeman
-Johnny Yong Bosch
-Daisuke Ono
-Hiroshi Kamiya

Just suggestions. If you haven't noticed, they're all voice actors. haha
I second them all, but I SUPER second the English VAs because Fanime doesn't usually have a whole lot );

Vic Mignogna ha ha ha ha ha (we've wondered every year why we can't get him).

he's property of sac-anime cause he's like always their guest during summer shows lol

@topic: I say we get Laura Baily! She's going to be sac-anime's summer guest again so let's try to get some smaller con guests to make fanime home to ALL sorts of guests instead of always trying to get high rated J-pop singers or anime studio directors
I would LOVE Laura Bailey to come!! And Travis Willingham as well(it would probably work that way anyways since they're married XD)!

The Sewing Basics for Cosplay and Live Sewing Demo were AWESOME, and really helped a lot!

Also, the Cult(ure) of Hatsune Miku was very entertaining, and I'm glad I went!

Pros:
-All of the rovers I came across were extremely helpful! When we didn't know where the MusicFest was being held, a rover at the Fanime info desk walked us alllll the waaay through the con center, across the street, and to the end of the line(which, at that point, was curved around the Tech Museum).
-One staff member in particular was really helpful! My friend lost her badge, and after a while at the info desk, we were told to ask for a specific person at the registration desk.  We ended up being confused and going to the wrong place, but a staff member(I didn't catch his name, but he was handing out pixie stix) was incredibly nice and led us to where we needed to go(and gave us some sugary snacks).
-The con was AMAZING~

Cons:
-Registration line on Thursday. This was the only downside to the con, but even so I realize that it wasn't Fanime's fault that there was a power outage. The only thing is that they announced that early reg had to leave due to technical difficulties, but then, a little while later, they announced that they could process earl reg. But by then, all of the early reg had left, so a lot of people left the line for nothing(many of whom had waited for hours and hours)

All in all, I LOVED Fanime, and can't wait until FanimeCon '13!

Self-explanatory title. My friends and I were at the FMA movie on January 25th in a small movie theater in San Jose(not to far from the SJ Convention Center, actually)
Annnywhooo, we talked to some girls around our age afterwards(I think one of them was wearing a Len Kagamine shirt), and they mentioned going to Fanime. Soooo in a vain attempt to try to locate them, THIS THREAD WAS BIRTHED

Oh, and by the by, we were the girls...with the faces...and the hair...(and one of us was wearing an FMA shirt)

I'll be cosplaying as Shura with my Rin this year! When is the meetup and where? O_o

Date: Saturday
Time: 1:30 pm
Location: Front entrance inside Convention Center by stairs

Has it been officially confirmed yet? Because it isn't on the Cosplay Gatherings List

No I am talking to B about it now =)
Okay, great! :D

One of the things I love about FanimeCon is all the international guests! I don't think there's a whole lot of anime cons that has as many Japanese guests as Fanime! (Of course, this is sort of a double-edged sword for me since I'm also a big fan of English VAs, but it's not like Fanime never has them!)

Ah my mistake. I should have looked for the individual guests rather than going through my archive.
Tis ok. xDD I just remember that cause I remember how freaking excited and happy I was when finding out they got him as a guest. 8DD
Same here XD

Okay, now I want to revise my previous list because
1. it was super long
2. Soem of the people are already booked for cons the same weekend

So now it's:
-Laura Bailey
-Travis Willingham
-Crispin Freeman
-Troy Baker
-Todd Haberkorn
-Maxey Whitehead

Also, since there have been some delays in Fanime this year, I'm guessing that's why no guests or big events have been announced, but has there been any headway in making those things happen?

I think I've already mentioned this, but I'd really like some English voice actors to come, since there hasn't seem to been a whole lot. Off the top of my head are

-Laura Bailey(Tohru in Furuba, Lust in FMA, Serah in FFXIII/XIII-2)
-Travis Willingham(Roy Mustang in FMA)
-Crispin Freeman(Shizuo in DRRR!!, Alucard in Hellsing)
-Vic Mignogna(Ed in FMA,Tamaki in Ouran)
-Troy Baker(Frank Archer in FMA and Greed in FMA:Brotherhood, Snow in FFXIII/XIII-2)
-Ali Hillis(Lightning in FXIII/XIII-2)
-Collen Clinkenbeard(Riza/Rose in FMA, Luffy in One Piece)
-Caitlin Glass(Winry in FMA, Haruhi in Ouran)
-J. Michael Tatum(Kyoya in Ouran, Scar in FMA:Brotherhood, France in Hetalia)

But there's also some JP seiyuu that's I'd like to come to Fanime

-Maaya Sakamoto(Everything...just kidding, Aerith in FFVII, Lightning in FFXIII, Haruhi in Ouran, Ciel in Kuroshitsuji)
-Daisuke Ono(Sebastian in Kuroshitsuji, Snow in FFXIII, Shizuo in DRRR!)
-Shin-ichiro Miki(Roy Mustang in FMA: Brotherhood, James[Kojiro] in Pokemon)
-Takahiro Sakurai(Cloud in FFVII, Kanda in D. Gray Man)
-Keiji Fujiwara(Axel in Kingdom Hearts, Reno in FFVII, Hughes in FMA)
=Fumiko Orikasa(Riza in FMA, Seras in Hellsing, Rukia in Bleach)

Registration / Re: ID confirmation

Registration is looking for VALID ID, and an expired passport is no longer valid. It is still a good 3 months from con, so you have quite a bit of options open to you such as a state ID. Feel free to look at the forum or email registration.
This is what confuses me- it says on the website that you need a valid ID, but last year they were fine with just my school ID(since I'm only 14), but on the website it said that school ID doesn't count as a valid ida. So does this rule depend on the age of the person, or...?

Registration / Re: Lines on Day 0
March 04, 2012, 07:08:26 PM
Last year9since it was our first con and we didn't know how long the lines would be) we went around 6, and we got out somewhere between 8-8:30. If you get there when the line starts moving(I believe it starts around 5), it should be closer to around 1 1/2-2 hours. If you come earlier than that, then it's even shorter.

Since Fanime hasn't had a lot of English voice actors recently, I think it'd be great if you invited some!
At the top of my head Troy baker(I saw him at W SacAnime 2012 and he was really funny!), Crispin Freeman, J. Michael Tatum, and since she came to a Fanime a while back, maybe Laura Bailey(and since she's married to Travis Willingham, why not him as well?)

Since Fanime seems to have had a very small amount of English VAs as guests, I think it would be great to invite a couple for Fanime2012!
