So, just letting the people know out there know that California's Central Coast will be the first ever anime convention happening on August 28th in Avila Beach, CA.

It's a one day con that's taking place at the Avila Beach Community Center. The cost is $12 at the door and $9 for pre-reg, it will be held between 11-6 on Saturday August 28th.
If anyone is near the area and would like to get some local con love going, please come out and try it out.

Central Coast? Looks like it's closer to southern california.(although I just say that since we're used calling salinas and monterey area central coast)

It's pretty easy to get to San Luis Obispo by Amtrak from San Jose if people wanted to go. SLO isn't too far away from where the con is. But it doesn't look like there is any convenient public transit from the SLO train station to where the con is.

i know there's a bus... i had to take it from Cuesta (community college in SLO) to Morro Bay.. im pretty sure it goes the other way too though.. but omg bus is sooo slow e___e;;;;; -shivers at thought of taking the bus >>-

or if you make new friends on the forums *cough cough* u could always "convince" them to setup maybe a road trip or carpool adventure and check out this mini Con.
I'm from the SJ bay area myself, and i might have to set up a mini road trip to check out this mini Con and maybe have a good excuse to make new friends who are nerdy and silly to on adventures like this.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the support! We noticed quite a few Fanime forum members already registered. Thank you! :D
We know the con is a little out of the way but our staffers fell in love with the location: it's small, intimate, and there are stunning cosplay photo locations literally within a few feet of the location. We were blown away. Not to mention, Registration is only $9. ;D
So please come out and support! Most of our staffers are locals from AG or Nipomo so it means a lot to us!
