Thanks for the info. I'm supposed to host a gathering at G10 on Friday of the con. Too bad about the fence. I had plans for that statue.

G10 is in Cesar Chavez Park by the snake statue (insert obvious joke here, I swear I had nothing to do with that one).

Metal Gear Gathering 2016

Day: Friday, May 27

Time: 4pm - 5pm

Location: G10 (offsite)

How to find it: G10 is in Cesar Chavez Park by the snake statue (insert obvious joke here, I swear I had nothing to do with that one).  You can get more information on the day of the convention at the Gatherings Table on the 1st floor of the convention center lobby area by the stairs.  Fanime's Cosplay Gathering Facebook page has a visual guide for each location:

As of now, the statue itself is fenced off.  I suppose we can still meet there and migrate a few steps over to the main park itself.

-Joke shots (obligatory scenarios involving the legendary cardboard box, maybe, if I remember to supply one)

Legal Statement-Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering/Event this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

Also: Hello, my name is omega_drug. I'll be attending as Mei Ling.  Or, if nobody shows up, I'll be attending as a random hotel receptionist who wandered away from the check out counter.

If anyone is interested, I submitted a form for an official gathering.  Just in case the OP forgot or is no longer interested, I wanted to get the form in by deadline.  (And if he already did it but just didn't post it yet, then I'll withdraw my request.)  I asked for Friday, or Sat/Sun at 4pm.  If that won't work for some of you, just leave a post and I'll see what can be done.
