Hotel and Facilities / Roommate(s) Needed!
May 13, 2013, 07:43:10 PM
I've got a Marriott room for the whole weekend this year and am looking for 1-2 female full-weekend con-goers.  It will probably be $65-80 per person.  Other roommates so far are female and artists, so do expect a certain amount of frantic crafting in the evenings.

Those who don't plan to be there the full weekend are also welcome, but will still pay an equal amount of the room cost.

Please send me a message ASAP if you're interested.

Do you have to have a vending permit before you can apply for a table?

Looking for any and all photos and videos of the blue Dalek from Doctor Who.  I was in the costume Saturday and Monday; it sat in the lobby of the Marriott hotel when I wasn't scrambling around it in.

I have both an Envy and a Hughes cosplay that will be with me.  I'm leaning toward Envy, but the flab is saying Hughes.

Sign me up for the first and/or third games if there's still room.  I'll be dressed as Kaitou from Hunter x Hunter.

I go to school in Oregon, but my spring break is Mar. 20-28.  Unfortunately, my flight doesn't get in on the 20th until 8p, so the 27th works best for me!

It's been five years since a sizable group of Hunter x Hunter cosplayers has gotten together and with VIZ's release of the anime here in the states and the current manga arc both NOT on hiatus and reaching its end, I'm thinking there should definitely be some people out there inspired to cosplay.

Here's your chance.  State your costume and when/which day would be most convenient for you in said costume.  For the past few years, I've been the only HxH person running around or at the Shonen Jump shoots.  There's been a few Kurapikas and a Kaitou, but nothing like the main four I saw my first year.

I plan on cosplaying Kaitou with roulette 2, scythe this year.  Any day works for me; I have a hotel and am more than willing to run around changing.

I haven't been interested in the bands in past years and hence am a bit out of the loop.  I understand that those with badges get in free, but surely there aren't enough seats for everyone who wants to attend.  Is it really just first-come, first-serve via a line?  Is that how this thing works?

When you say $45 until 11/6, most people will assume that means the price is still valid on the 6th.  Changing it to $50 today is a cheap tactic to make attendees pay more than they intended to.  I respectfully request that the price is reduced for a period of time to allow those confused by your wording to partake of the $45 price they should have had.

I had 63 last year... Definitely going to be higher this year.  I caught it the first day prereg last year.  Two days makes all the difference.  *shrugs*  I got the 1337 badge the last year group reg was allowed.  Numbers are fun, but the badge itself is what really counts.  :3

OMG.  The prelim song I want to switch out is Asu e no Brilliant Road.  XD  I'm getting murdered by the second verse for some reason, just can't seem to get my mouth around it.  T T

My second song's fast enough, so I was thinking of something a bit slower for prelims, like Michiyuki or Sayonara Solitia.

*spazzflail*  woo, I made it in!  I just have a question: if we have changed our mind on a song, how do we go about getting that taken care of?  I just want to switch out my prelim song.

Is there going to be a list of who's made it around here somewhere in the near future?

Whew, that wait was actually getting me rather excited.  I wasn't sure I was going to sign up until yesterday when two people randomly mentioned I should try again.  Good luck to all, and may no one forget their lyrics as I did last year.  ^_~

I know a friend and I were planning on duetting MODULATE GOD by Hora, but it sounds as if he's trying to back out now, getting a bit nervous (though he did it alone last year and made y'all's ears bleed, if you were unlucky enough to be there when he sang).  Any tips on how to convince him I need his screamo abilities?  XD

Ack, sorry, y'all.  My teacher got ill, and pushed back the due date, so I've been procrastinating.  Our finals for the semester are tomorrow, so I'll be posting/sending out the results shortly after that.  I apologize for the wait.

Just because I've been worked up over them all morning... The results are exactly what I wanted to see.  ^_~

Alrighty! I fail at life!

This post is directed towards anyone who took my online survey about a month ago (or anyone interested in taking a survey about how anime has affected their life). The site did something strange to my account and I can no longer access the results. I've reconstructed the survey in what I believe is a bit more taker-friendly way on a more reliable site and would really appreciate it if y'all could take five/ten minutes to fill it out again. I promise this won't happen again.

Take #2

Thank you so much, y'all.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

There was one point in my practicing last year that between songs I'd take a spoonful of chocolate pudding and a swig of Mountain Dew to keep my throat from going raw.  It was quite an interesting combination, but it kept me from losing my voice.

That actually sounds good right about now, as I just finished my practice for the day, but seeing as I don't have the pudding, I don't think the Mountain Dew alone will "do" much (bad pun, yes).
