Speaking of suckage, life sucks. I'm sorry, but something came up and I am now unable to cosplay this year. I can still probably come by and take pictures of you all, but I can't actually participate. Again really sorry, and I hope to join in some other time.

I'm sorry guys, but I don't think I'll be able to participate in the gathering anymore, much less cosplay as Rima Tohya. Life happened, and well, stuff came up, and it doesn't look like it will be happening this year. I can probably go take pictures, but beyond that, I don't think so. Very sorry!

Dude, I had to go to my Fanime all alone for the first day. Thankfully, a lot of people are very friendly, and will talk to you if you look lonely enough. I'm pretty shy, and I was kept very busy by people I didn't even know.  ;D I'm also going in pretty bad conditions... again. I had around $100 my first time, and maybe $50 last time, and everyone kept ditching me for one reason or another, and my phone kept dying... This year, I don't have a phone, so I'll have to stick with someone, or let them know where I will be, and I'll be LUCKY to have $50+, especially with my actually making a costume  this year. However, I'm willing to look out for you and try to say hi/hang out with you, if you want. I'll be going as Rima Tohya from Vampire Knight and even though I'm shy, once I get used  to you, and find out what subjects you like, I'll be like your best (poor) friend! XD;

Also, I know your pain about the parents thing. I have to tolerate my "other" mom (my best friend's mom) every year.

All I can say is preregister. You'll be thankful you did. And also, keep a good eye on your money. If you don't have enough, don't buy it. Common sense stuff like that. My first Fanime was in '06 and I went in with about a hundred in my pocket. Not much, but then again, I'm not rich. Anyway, I only bought like three things, and I was out of money by the end of the third day, with daily train fare (my mom was lame and refused to let me stay in a hotel) and food expenses, and I had to actually mooch off my friends  the next day! I decided to call it quits after that. Saw no point in continuing in my penniless state, and I hated being a leech. So, yeah. Make sure you have enough (the con IS expensive) and make extra sure  to budget yourself. Also, don't buy any sodas, except Ramune of course, on site, as they're $3+ a bottle, while ramune is usually much cheaper, especially in bulk!

Oh, and I found the Mc. Donald's dollar menu to be my best friend.

People can buy single day badges by standing in line every day, but it's more expensive that way.  The single-day badges aren't laminated, and they have different colors for each day.  If you try to use a paper badge with the wrong color for the day, they won't let you in.
Actually, in 2006, they "lost" my prereg badge and I had to wear a green paper badge all weekend, and they let me into everything fine. But, then again, the printers that would've printed me up a new pretty badge were dead, and we didn't even get the  programs until several months later. So, I dunno about that one. XD;;

General Convention Discussion / Re: Your Fan Name
December 09, 2008, 12:09:49 AM
Well, I'm Sky-chan. I got this name from some of my closest buds on dA since I'm SkyDragonKnight on there. Since it was easier, they started calling me "Sky-chan" and it kinda stuck. This is the first year I'm putting it up, though. Kept forgetting to the past two years. XD;

As I said in your "help from cosplayers" thread, I'm willing to be among the hunted. Based on what I'm seeing so far for the Vampire Knight gathering, it looks like I might be the only Rima Tohya, which might make me somewhat of a rare find. *laughs* But, yeah, this looks like fun. :3

I'm willing to be among the hunted, if you wish. I'll be Rima Tohya from Vampire Knight. :3

Yeah, the masquerade will certainly put a dent in things. Hopefully, we won't have to compete with it, and lose our precious cospeeps. That would suck. XD;

Sounds interesting. I'll talk to my friends and see if they wanna join in, too. Aside from that, it just depends on what's going on that day. This con's going to be rather busy for me.

Call me an Fullmetal Alchemist and DNAngel nut, but I really want Vic Mignogna to make an appearance here. A old friend of mine had him come to their school's anime club a few times now, and I really wanna meet him. He inspires me. :3

Yeah. I hope they're close together, too. That way, I could possibly get them both over with in one shot and not have to keep checking my cell phone every few minutes so I know I'm not going to be late. Besides, I really don't want to have to rush over in a skirt. It's unbelievably easy to lose track of time inside the hall.

Well, this year is going to be my first actual time cosplaying, so it'll kinda be like my own debut, too. I'll be going as Rima Tohya from Vampire Knight, and I'm planning on going to both the Vampire Knight and Shoujo Beat gatherings, so see you there!

I have a mother in the gaming industry. She was working at E.A. until now and she's now trying to get into Sega.

Snow... In my pants.

Hmm, sounds interesting. Count me in. I'll be Rima Tohya from Vampire Knight. :3

I did, and earlier than usual, too! Since I didn't have any income, I usually got a registration for Christmas and then I would do odd jobs until the con for money. XD Looks like I'm still going to be  broke this year, though. Actually making a costume this time. :P

I'm going. Even if I said I wasn't, my friends would drag me, anyway. ^_^;

My family used to own a castle in Ireland but my great grandfather changed his name when he came here, so we have no idea who we were or where it is, and he took the secret with him to the grave. Bummer. I kinda want to see it. >__>;
