It's been years since I last went into that area where AA is held and you can get there from the inside.

Going to bring back Speed Racer. Oh yeah!!!

All we're hoping for next year is to have more room to walk and cosplay gatherings to take place.

Assuming Fanime will run from May 24 thru the 27 in 2013, how about having the gathering on Saturday May 25th. Reason, next year is the 30th anniversary of the release of Return of the Jedi and it came out on May 25, 1983.

Just a suggestion.

The background is blurred so that your focus is on the subject of the photo. You don't need photoshop to do this; you can do this with almost any kind of photo editing software. I use GIMP which is a free program.

This is to young lady I danced with at the B&W ball on Sunday night. You wore a long green wig along with a long green dress. We actually did exchange names and had a very nice conversation. I was flattered that you asked if I was at least 18 years old and you wondered if I was a sparkling vampire, thank you.

You mentioned that you cosplayed as Yoko from Gurren Lagann at Fanime and that you are from the Central Valley, Tulare to be exact. It was unfortunate that we couldn't continue the conversation. If you see this send me a pm.

Btw, I was the tall guy with glasses if that helps.

I am so totally up for this. Hopefully I can pull it off. I've always wanted to cosplay as a character from SW and was thinking about doing either Han Solo or a Sith character. So glad this could be a possible gathering.

Friday -- Speed Racer (from the original 1960s series not the movie or any other remakes)
Saturday -- Hei from Darker Than Black (I wore a mask)
Sunday -- Kotetsu Kaburagi from Tiger & Bunny (one of many)

Hotel name:  St. Claire

Would you book next year: Yes, only if I can't get the Hilton.

Pros:
* Check-in was quick
* Hotel was quiet. Can actually get some sleep. There was no rowdiness at all.
* Staff were nice.
* No issues with the elevators (ok there are only 6 floors but still)
* Rooms have a mini refrigerator
* Rooms have an electronic safe to store your valuables
* It's not the Marriott or Hilton but still very close to convention center. Just have to cross the street.
* Subway is very close by (if you like Subway)

Cons:
* Rooms are small (it is an older hotel). Could be problematic if you have multiple cosplayers staying in the       
   room
* Iron was not the best. Had a hard time getting rid of the wrinkles in my cosplay outfits

Special Notes to Share:
Like I said before, it's not the Marriott or the Hilton when it comes to being connected to SJCC but it's still very close. Actually, if you need to attend a panel in the Marriott, the St. Claire is closer to the panel rooms than the Hilton. I've stayed at the St. Claire the past two Fanimes because I couldn't get the Hilton. I like the St. Claire but I miss staying at the Hilton.

That happened to me a few years ago, but it was a wig instead. Ordered it a month before Fanime and it came like two or three days after Fanime.

Remember to actually go to Bijan Bakery & Cafe to get something sweet. Forgot this year.

Just wanted to say you did a great job running the gathering. It's the one gathering I look forward to the most. I will post a link to the pictures I took soon.

And Vocaloid stuff. I don't think I saw anything except Miku related stuff there. Or atleast I don't remember seeing anything Vocaloid related that wasn't Miku.

Yeah, that was disappointing. I was hoping there would be some Megurine Luka merchandise. I like her more than Miku.

what, lies.  I've seen two massive Ninja game along side a hacky sack game in the Game room last night

I was in one of those ninja games on Saturday. By the way it was fun.

I'm in the Acceptance stage. Just now having ideas of what I want to cosplay for next year. I'm just hoping that the convention center expansion will be done by next Fanime and have the return of the fountains.
