Staff & Volunteers / Shift times
May 21, 2009, 11:47:08 AM
I've looked at the shift schedule, but I'm having a bit o' trouble understand it. It simply provides shift times in terms of "morning", "evening" or "graveyard". What does this translate to in actual clocky time?

Seems like the guys get good service at the Maid Cafe, but doesn't that leave out a significant demographic? Our fangirls aren't getting any service! Maybe we should open up a Host Club. The bar will serve root beer. ;B

Possible? Impossible? Comments, questions?

FOR THE LAST TIME PEOPLE-

We all know everyone has a thought on glomping.
We don't care.

So as much as you can talk about how to solve these problem and compare opinions , but it wont do anything at Con.

I just read this, and I just went, o___O!

I'm sorry, but does anyone agree with me, that this is (hopefully) untrue. If I'm not mistaken, Fanime's trademark line is "For the Fans, and By the Fans." If the fans have no say in solutions, then it's either false advertising, or just plain corruption.

I think the best way to do things is to discuss solutions, and the staff should always look to the fans for input rather than denying them any say in the matter. There are of course those who wish to gain brownie points with certain staff and promote the dissolution of any discussion, but I urge those people to actually think about if what they're doing helps the good of the con, or is just ass-kissing.

Yus, I already want it to be next years Fanime. If I lived closer to San Jose, I'd want Fanime twice a year, but they don't quite have the money for that, so while we're waiting, lets pass the time by planning what we want to do different or new or even the same next year! <33 I'll start off.

I probably don't want to be on staff this year, I missed all the great parts of the con. Unless the change the shifts to three hours each which are easy to move around so I can hit all my favorites.

If I do staff, it's only going to be Asian Films Room 1. I've learned my lesson from the other two rooms. >___> Although not all the Korean Soaps were bad, but 6 hours of it can be tiring. O___o;;

I'll save up more money for a room with onlee me friends, so I don't get stuck with total strangers again. One whom was quite scary.... And will leave me with scars on my innocence.

I'll see musicfest again this year! <3 And hit all the Stage 1 shows which I didn't have the privelege of seeing.

But..maybe... I'll start a band and we'll perform in Music Fest! <3

I'll prepare more harajuku/gothic/bishi clothes.

I'll bring my laptop.

I'll take more pictures.

I'll go around San Jose MORE. Which was what we were planning to do this year, but we didn't end up doing it even after making a big fuss about how little time we planned to spend at the con. We just didn't think it was going to be that fun.

Next year when we sign up for Karaoke to sing "Woo Hoo" we'll force the staff into submission to play the track louder instead of needing to stand next to the speaker to barely hear it.

More money... Lots more money...

And less guilt about spending it...

I wish however Fanime had more harajuku/gothic stuff in the merchants room. We didn't know if there was a mall nearby so we stayed in the Dealer's room and all they had was fanboy stuff and manga and expensive food. It was lame. So more stuff please. <3

Oi, it was a good year this time. Different from the other years as it always is, but good never the less. I am in LOVE with Swinging Popsicle, and I got the Guitarist's pick! <3

I love the increased amounts of Harajuku people this year. I was a bit miffed to see that the Masquerade got more attendees than Music Fest. There are a few more disappointments but overall the trip was worth it.

A small suggestion however to those in charge of staffing schedules, please have 8 3-hour shifts instead of 4 6-hour shifts. >___> I almost died at the 10 PM to 4 AM shift.
