Anyone interested in a Christmas exchange?

I know CA-West usually has one, but we can do this all over the Bay Area.

Guidelines:
* List which anime events and clubs you will be at in December. List a date and time.
* Bring a gift to each event/club.
* Examples: Two or three manga, a DVD, a plushie, several boxes of Pokey, whatever.

Feel free to suggest how you want to do the swap at the event you're attending.

I'll be at:
* Anime Palace, 12/13, 11am.
* No Name Anime, 12/13, break.

I can be at:
* Foothill Anime, First Sunday in December, break.

Uh... I don't know if these are good deals, but here's what I got from my BFAD email...

"Amazon is doing another day of their "Countdown to Black Friday" sale, this time you can get a Playstation 3 Bundle w/ NBA Live 09 and a
Remote for $399 (the retail price of a stand-alone Playstation 3 console). This deal is available by clicking here: http://bfads.net/Link/464

More information about this deal is available in the news post here:

Anyone hitting any BF sales? I can't really find anything I'm interested in. I'm curious at what geek stuff is out there, tho!

LOS ANGELES – Dr Pepper is making good on its promise of free soda now that the release of Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" is a reality.

The soft-drink maker said in March that it would give a free soda to everyone in America if the album dropped in 2008. "Chinese Democracy," infamously delayed since recording began in 1994, goes on sale Sunday.

"We never thought this day would come," Tony Jacobs, Dr Pepper's vice president of marketing, said in a statement. "But now that it's here, all we can say is: The Dr Pepper's on us."

Beginning Sunday at 12:01 a.m., coupons for a free 20-ounce soda will be available for 24 hours on Dr Pepper's Web site. They'll be honored until Feb. 28.

EDIT: Corrected Subject.

Bumping for tomorrow's and next week's games!

Last party was great. If he has any wallpaper scrolls for $9, I'm gonna break down and buy some. Loved the figurines.

Please post hours. I hope it's open early!

Want me to bring party games? I have Apples to Apples, Munchkin, etc.

Hey Ed,

Have you seen the live-action Zettai Kareshi yet? *Immensely* funny. Not sure if No Name shows live-action, but the first ep's worth a shot. Puts the "magical girl / normal boy" trope on it's end.

See you in December -- I don't have Saturdays free anymore. :/

I'm getting sucked in by this Gaia ZOMG game.  :P Any of you up for a biweekly or monthly Sunday hangout at some WiFi place so we can get a party and WHACK things?

I only have Sundays available, but I'm looking for others for a monthly or biweekly tabletop gaming group. This Sunday, Mike, Bruce, and I will be playing Prophecy in Mountain View, at Red Rock Cafe. See my other thread.

As for anime, there's Foothill Anime, No Name Anime, and CA-West. I haven't gone to them recently, since I watch anime at home.

Finally, you might want to start a Meetup.com group. There's an SF Asianophile group, but not a South Bay otaku one.

Haven't worked out the details, but PM with times you're available (ie. afternoon or evening), if you're interested in this "Talisman done right" boardgame. If you can play Magic, Munchkin, or Talisman, you can play this game. We'll play at Red Rock Cafe in Mountain View, so will get some pho or other noodles before playing.

Review of the game if you haven't heard of it:

We had a full game, but only managed to play half a game in "only" two hours -- the box says a game is 90-120 minutes, though this was our first game.

Gamesday will be Saturday, October 6th, at the Los Altos Library, starting at 10am. On request, I can run the game there for two hours.

And WoW:TAG <> D&D. You can play both. Okay, maybe not at the same time...

Gamesday will unofficially be meeting at Red Rock in Mountain View at 9:30am to 6pm this Saturday. At 9:30am, I'll be hosting a World of Warcraft: The Adventure Game. I have three spots, so please PM me to save a spot. If you can play the online game, Munchkin, or Magic, you should be able to pick up this game.

So did any of you make No Name? Mike, Nina, Jason and I went out during the break to Kirk's. I even won a SuperGALs miniDVD at the raffle. Woohoo.

Not sure if there are any age limits, but Meetup.com has various social groups. I'm going off to Red Rock in Mountain View to listen to live jazz music now.

No excuses!  :D

I was going to throw this in as an edit, but...

If you're interested in FFG games, join the Gamesday group in Los Altos, where we regularly play FFG games!
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/gamesday/

If you're interested in D&D, join the D&D Meetup.com group. Next meeting is June 29th in Fremont!
