Title: Tokyo Godfathers
Post by: Barnes on February 01, 2004, 11:24:55 AM
I'm gonna see this film today and I'll post later tonight if I feel like it.
Anyway is anybody also gonna see it? I hear the theater (Camera 3) is playing it subbed.  Fans that went to see it a while back were upset that it's not going to the Oscars.
This film is about three homeless people who find an infant and try to find it's parents, am I right?

Ah, I've heard of that anime from the No-Name Anime Club. www.nnanime.com I heard it's very good.

I saw it opening night at Camera 3, and I thought it was quite good.  Probably the most accessible of Kon's work so far, and that says a lot, given the movie's subject matter.

i think it's already ending its short theatrical run, so better see it while you can.
