Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

Fructose and I flaked out this year due to life and time constraints, but by 2010 we should be ready with our Jan and Luke Valentine costumes!
i should be able to have my Alucard cosplay by then so put me down for him

There is a 50/50 chance that I may be able to make it as Sera (Blue verssion) for 2010, it will all depend on when I can get my DW costumes done and start on Seras. Hopefully I can make it.

Not officially but Sunday afternoon is my general plan (same as the past two years). ^_^
Please don't let it be the same time as the Naruto gathering :'(.
If it's like last year the gathering will be after the Naruto gathering, sometime around 2 or 3pm I would guess.
It was at 2:30 last year. What I usually do to choose the exact time is to wait until its closer to Fanime and then pick a time that has few or no gatherings. But yeah, I usually make it later-ish because it takes me soooooo long to get dressed (yes, entirely selfish reason, I know...) XD

w00t! There's finally a release date for the last volume of the manga! End of April! Very exciting even though I've already read it!

Hopefully there will be an revitalization of the Hellsing fandom this year. Heaven forbid someone recognize my cosplay. XD

Hey there! Actually, I'm retiring my Integra, but I still want to cosplay from Hellsing, so I will probably be there as Dark Walter. Maybe Young Walter. Maybe a combination of both. Not sure yet. :)

It's been a long time that I've been to fanime! (five years). I've been mainly going to cons in So Cal.
But, count me in for this Hellsing gathering. I will either be going as Integra or Seras. Most likley Seras :D
I don't know if I'm going to the Hellsing gathering, but I will be going to Fanime. If I am, I'll be Rip Van Winkle. It all depends on whether or not my parents let me go the day of the gathering.

Question: Do you have an estimate of what time the gathering will be at?
It is usually in the afternoon, around 2. If that's a problem let me know. ^_^
Will the gathering star directly AT 2 or will people be there a little before? I have a gathering before this so I don't know if I should leave early from the first gathering or not :-\.
We can start at 2:30 to give you some time if you'd like. I try and put this gathering between big ones. I'll try and get the time finalized next month. =)

Last year's method of yelling out random ideas worked pretty well. XD

Picked up my copy of Volume 10 today! I can't believe it's over... I really hope Dark Horse publishes The Dawn too.
Well at least we can read all of them in paper form at least. And the OVAs aren't done yet.

I have added Hellsing to the threads list. Glad to see you are coming back. *crosses fingers* I hope to have Integra done for next year, but not sure which version I will have done... possibly Mourning Integra or Coronation Integra, but I will let you know when I start working on it.

Im planning on doing Rip Van Winkle ^-^; i was thinking about reprising my Integra again, but i think i'll stick to Rip.Im trying to get the rest of my friends to cosplay as other Millennium peeps so we'll have a whole Millennium cast for the gathering!

It's been, well, a rather long time since anyone posted here... which I admit is mostly my fault, but school got the better of me.
So let's reboot! I will do my very best to be active from now until Fanime. =D
Who's coming this year?
Also, I'm thinking the gathering will be on Saturday this year, since the Masquerade has been changed to Sunday. Is that a problem for anyone?

I haven't the faintest idea. ^_^ What time is the Naruto gathering? We can work around it, I'm sure. =D
It starts at 11:30 AM, but I have no idea when it will end. We are still deciding on what events we will include.

The Avatar gathering is 2PM Saturday, so it would be nice to not have to change costumes too fast.

The attendance to this Event was amazing. But the pairing and other things lacked big time. So much possible almost nothing used.
Actually, I don't see how that's a valid complaint, as the organizer was taking requests and trying to accommodate everyone. If you had something you wanted to see or do, you should have spoken up.
Personally, my main complaint was that the photographers were pushing the gathering to start way too early. I showed up at exactly 3:05 (late, but only by minutes), and I missed a significant chunk of it.
Also, I don't mean to call anyone out, and I won't name names or cosplays, but there was one cosplayer who was INCREDIBLY rude. She complained the whole time about how the organizer was "taking over the gathering" and went up to one of my friends and told her that her cosplay was hideous and wrong and she should take it off and never wear it again. This is not okay. Constructive criticism is great, but one should never go up to a fellow cosplayer and blatantly insult their hard work and dedication. Bitching can be done in private, there's no reason to be malicious.

I didn't see that part but i saw some people trying to ask for some things and the organizer ignored them.
I would like to offer my sincere apologies to those who didn't get to do a photo they wanted. I tried to facilitate every suggestion I heard. I was not intentionally ignoring anyone. =(

big problem im just wording things wrong. Normally when that many cosplayers get together they go OVER the time. I personally loved the event and was running to and from it from the cosplay battles. Maybe next time ask for suggestion here and bring a list. My main goal was to say there should of been more pairing and photo ops. (might of sounded mean because im fighting mean guys who i think are just trolling saying yoko cosplay shouldn't be done (it was so 2008 kinda thing) that maid cafe was bad stupid wrong ripoff wants a refund and more service people shouldnt buy cosplays cant sew cant cosplay bla bla bla )
There was actually plenty of asking for suggestions on the organizer's part. There were a lot of moments in between shots where she stood there and repeatedly asked for suggestions, and people went quiet before someone just jumped in and went for it. Again, if people had requests, they should have either spoken up, jumped in, or, if they genuinely thought they were being ignored, they could've gone up to the organizer and said something. I know a couple people who weren't being heard, so they went up to her and said, "I WANT THIS SHOT" and were accommodated. There was also the Schrodinger photobombing that took place towards the end because they wanted more shots.
(Please note: I don't mean to sound snippy at all, and if I do, it's simply post-con exhaustion. I'm just saying that for future reference, if anyone is at a gathering - any gathering - and has a request, don't be afraid to speak up or jump into the spotlight. There's no point in staying silent and then complaining about missed opportunities. ^^)

If you want I can take over for next year. I've been going to Hellsing gatherings for years and have organized a few, most recently the one at ALA 2011.
(I was the green Integra from this year.)
