Title: Question about pricing a Kia Asamiya manga
Post by: Tendai on August 28, 2003, 12:54:56 AM
Sooo..I have no idea and I figured someone here might have some advice.  I've got a limited (500) edition copy of the first book of Kia Asamiya's Dark Angel series that was autographed and drawn in, and I'm wanting to sell it but I have NO idea how much to ask or where to start the price at on Ebay.  Can anyone here help? ^^;; I'm sort of clueless when it comes to manga other than the WK stuff.

You have to get this magazine called Wizard:the Guide to Comics, cause they have a price listing for Comics, including Manga. or you can look around the net for price guides as well.

if you put high price on ebay, maybe nobody will bid it...
if you put low price, depend on number of people looking for it, it's more like a gamble but you can put reserve on the price.  Try to post your stuff in anime mailing list, ask for offers.
Or you could check auction at yahoo japan.  Limited 500, autograph and drawn in.. hm.. is it really his autograph and drawn in or just a print?
If it's real.. maybe more than $100?  Well try to find Kia Asamiya die hard fan and then sell it to them for high price. :D

kei - Yes, it's an actual signature and drawing, you can see the impressions in the paper.

You can find the Wizard magazine at ANY comic shop. It's a must!

That will not be listed in a Wizard.  But don't let that stop you from buying a copy.  Is this book a US version book?  Is it the CPM version or the Image Phoenix Resurresction one?  My guess with something drawn in it would be either a Japanese Manga or a CPM trade paperback.  I would keep it and not bother trying to sell it unless you run into someone way into Kia Asamiya.  More info might help us help you, but I don't think Asamiya stuff is too popular on eBay.
