I remember Falling asleep during the first screening of Death and Rebirth in the Foothill days.

D'oh!

Two of my favorite Fanime memories are back from the Foothill years.

1: Seeing Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa. (It's coming out on DVD in just a couple months! GREAT Disney Dub Cast! Yay!)

2: The very dedicated fan who dressed up as Ryoga from Ranma and literally wandered around randomly asking for directions to places (and walking off in the wrong direction) for the entire con. That was beautiful.

Me: Six years old. 1989.

Anime: Hotaru no Haka, Grave Of the Fireflies. Fansubbed.

Yeah. My first and the hook were one and the same. I'd say that it quite literally changed my life.

I loved RahXephon.

I want to marry it.

I want Ayato to have my children.

Yeah. I'm of the heretics who have gone against the Eva bible and have said 'hey. There's better Anime out there.'

So far, I've managed to narrowly escape (verbal) crucifixion many times.

Yeah, though...it's kinda important to watch the series in order.

Maaya Sakamoto is my hero. She encourages me to sing falsetto just for the sake of being the only living non-castrated male ever to be able to hit her notes. ^_^

Spirited Away was darn good, but Nausicaa is still by far my favorite Ghibli film.
