You did say drama, but I just want to double-check -- Densha Otoko movie or TV series?

Edit: Nevermind, just checked the schedule, and it IS the TV series.  KITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~  I'm so there.

Quote from: "otakuapprentice"just curious, but are the games that are listed on the first page the final list of what there is going to be, or is there going to be a change of what is going to be available?

There may be a few changes but that's pretty much what you can expect.

Thanks for signing up for the board, OCEguy.  :3  I was wondering, can we expect to see DanceManiaX at Fanime?  That's the one thing not on the proposed list that I would love to see confirmed for the con.

No Dance Maniax this year.  I'll keep that in mind for next year.

<-- That was my reaction, reading your response.  But thanks for replying, and I look forward to seeing it at Fanime 07.   :D

but hey! Peanuts is also OK! off course, we'll expect more sjsu students there since it's the graduation week.

Super Tacqueria is on 10th street but that's like way east of the con.

anything south of the convention? well there's wendy's down there.   fuuuuuuuuuu~~~~~~~

WAH, I love Super Taq.  Yum, yum, yum.  Unfortunately, the one on 10th St is now closed for renovations and won't be open again until way after Fanime.  T_T

My novel of a rant:

I ran out of time pre-con to sew my boyfriend's Urahara hat .  And I wasn't going to see my roommate again (who owns the sewing machine) until we were at the con.  Well, Thursday night, we get everything into the hotel room, stuff is all over the place, and we can't find the hat.  Friday morning, the hat turns up in the middle of the chaos.  We are in a hurry to stand get in line for a space at the swap meet, and my rush to sew it, I not only bend the sewing needle, but I jam up and break a mechanism in the (brand new) sewing machine. *dies*

So we go down to the swap meet, and my boyfriend is wearing the hat, which is not finished.  I just attached all the unsewn fabric with pins.  We wait in line for HOURS, and don't even get a spot in the swap meet.  So at 11PM or so, we drive to my grandmother's house, which is about fifteen minutes from the con.  Her Singer is older than my dad, and I had to use a foot crank type thing, which is really difficult.  After that failed, I switched over to the electric foot pedal, which was slightly broken and would stop every few stitches.  I finally got a system going, but it involved my hand getting really raw, and I ended up bleeding.   :(

Somewhere in the middle of that sewing time, I managed to break one of the ceramic fixtures on the sewing machine, but luckily my grandma had a spare.  That still doesn't change the fact that I somehow broke two sewing machines in one day.  At 1AM, though, the hat was finally done... And so was I.

My boyfriend and I love swing dancing and will definitely attend (as long as it doesn't conflict with the karaoke contest).  And I know everyone else staying in our hotel room would either love to go or will be dragged along by the rest of us, so that's about seven people to add to your list of attendees.

Live Programming and Events / Artist Alley 2006?
February 16, 2006, 06:55:46 PM
Here's the news so far on getting a table: http://www.fanime.com/bb/viewtopic.php?p=92421&highlight=#92421

The form for applying and paying hasn't been added to the website yet.  Artist's Alley has been moved from the concourse into an exhibit hall, and it's $5 a table this year (so that no one can steal it from you, saying that you have no claim on it).

The way I see it... The sign thing is getting old, because there seems to be a lack of originality.

Bartboy had a great idea. That was genius. *Golf clap*

I admit, my sign was a almost a little cliche and blah. But it worked well with my under-appreciated theme. I also think I had the first sign at the con, seeing as how I started it in the Thursday Pre-Reg line when I was on a really bad Bawls/Red Bull/Coffee Caffiene high...

There were a few funny and good signs. Like the cloaked and hooded guys walking around with the signs looking for Cloud and a few other Squaresoft characters... (Wish I got a picture of that)

There were also a few that were a little unnecessary, like Lady KimaLucifer mentioned, the "Generic Hentai Character" That was a little... Umm... Uncalled for.

I can only see T-shirts being this new era... With last years ever popular, "Glomp Me" shirt, and its counterpoint "Glomp Me and Die."

Overall I think originality is key. Without that, it is a little stale... and rather sad. I can only hope that someone makes the next great sign. It probably won't be me... My new idea is a little... Umm... Different.

well That is my opinion. I will now cease the talking.
*Gets down from his soapbox*

Um, I glomped you last year... and then you ran away from me.  In fear, it seemed.
