This Gathering Includes:
Any version/canon of FMA that you want to cosplay!

Day: Sunday, May 24th (confirmed!)

Location (L): G7, between the main con center and the Hilton (confirmed!)

Photo Order:
Bring your ideas, and I'll bring the paperwork, the cats, the endless opportunities for short jokes, and the Philosopher's Stone. ;)

1/6/2019: Happy New Year, Fanime fam! \o/ Join us for the usual shenanigans! We had a huge, amazing group of cosplayers last year (seriously – https://fanimecon.slickpic.com/albums/FanimeCon-Sunday-9am-1am/?wallpaper), and I'm sure this year will be fantastic, too!

4/1/2018: It didn't look like anyone was planning to make this gathering happen, so HERE IT IS. :D I'm not possessive about this at all, so anyone who'd like to pitch in and help out is welcome and encouraged to!

This Gathering Includes:
VOLTRON!!!  I am assuming most people will be going for Legendary Defender, but don't worry; there's no chance of getting turned away if you're a devotee of a previous canon. :D  Everyone is welcome!

Day: Saturday, May 27th (confirmed)
Time: 4:00 PM (confirmed)
Location: G5 (between the convention center and the Hilton)

Cosplayers:
I have to be honest... I have no idea how big this is likely to be. If you're thinking about coming, let me know! I'm expecting about 30-40 people, since that seems to be a relatively common parameter for single-fandom gatherings at this con.

Photo Order:
I think we all know it's just going to devolve into memes after about fifteen minutes... and reenactments of everybody's favorite scenes. Which I think will be great! I'll try to get some backup ideas together, too.

I've marked it tentatively for Saturday afternoon. We probably won't know for sure until spring, but definitely drop me a line if you have strong feelings about date/time! Saturday at 4 is confirmed on the gatherings list! Hope that will work for everybody! :)

1/8/2017: Please let me know if you guys have major preferences for times – for instance, if you know you won't be there early enough for a late-morning shoot; or if you habitually find panels you enjoy in the afternoon, and wouldn't want a conflict. I'm flexible, although I would strongly prefer Saturday unless it's hugely inconvenient for everyone, haha.

I think we were pretty close to the usual 30-40 people last year, with some coming and going, which is fantastic. I'm hoping that excitement about the upcoming movie will bring some people in, too!

Photo Order:
FMA generously offers us an assortment of different character groupings, and our audience has always been magnificent about requests. I am going to try to bring a list for backup this year, though!

Time: 12:00 PM noon
Location (L): G4 (a.k.a. "The Hub", the alcove area on the con center ground floor)

Cosplayers:
Drop me a line here or on Facebook (see below) if you're planning to attend! I know most of us are forum lurkers (I always have been in the past!), but we usually end up with upwards of 30 cosplayers over the course of the hour.  Holler back if you're going to be there!

I'll be there as Ed (only wearing shutter-shades on request, haha), with a Hawkeye and hopefully a Lust!

Photo Order:
Over the past few years, a lot of the shots we've done have been based on which characters we have, but I figure we'll hit all of the classics – e.g. everyone from the Amestrian military; Elric family photos; the super-bomb ladies; Homunculi group photo; Good Guys vs. Bad Guys – and then move on to suggestions/requests.

3/12/16: Hellooooo, Fanime forums!  Longtime lurker Tierfal here – I've never done anything like hosting a gathering before, so I'm flying by the seat of my pleather pants a little bit, but I started going to the FMA gatherings in 2013 (and attending as Ed in 2014!), and I'm going to do my best to make sure everybody has an awesome time! :D  I'm not above bribes in the form of snacks and coffee to try to get more people to come What, who said that?
