Yes, still interested.  Is it extra to keep her in the display case?  I don't have many cases.

Hi, I was looking at the pictures again and realized I would also like the Fushigi no Kuni no Alice - Alice - POP Wonderland (SEGA) on the third row of the first page, if it's still available.

Sounds fun.  If someone does run a panel, it might be interesting to include two or more people having the same conversation, but as different characters.

I like this suggestion for earlier registration. If that doesn't work though, having the info on pricing is more important to me at least. Also, not having registration on a weekday. Lots of people have school and are forced to either skip classes or miss out on a hotel room.
Completely understand that having it on a weekday isn't ideal, but we do this because this is the best time we can get support from everyone. Keep in mind that an external company (CMR) handles our hotel housing and it's important that they (along with each hotel) is able to provide support when you are trying to book a hotel room. When we were less popular, we opened hotel registration on Friday and support wasn't able to provide enough support for everyone until Monday (which caused more frustration among everyone). This isn't to say that this is any one person/group's fault, but it's always going to be difficult to find a medium that works best for everyone. We will keep trying though. :)

Any consideration to opening registration on one day and hotel registration on another?  Just checking if that's feasible for next year.

Panels and Workshops / Re: Super Sentai Q&A Panel?
January 19, 2013, 09:08:14 AM
I'd love to attend this panel if you have it.  Most of my friends are fans of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider and I'd love to get to know more about differences, similarities, what makes people want to watch one over the other, etc.

I stopped at JTown on Sunday and ran into this unexpectedly.  I love that fan art tables are being allowed at the past couple of events I've been to at JTown.  Plus food, this time some of the lunch trucks were there like Phat Thai and Japacurry.  Couldn't stay as I had other plans.  >:(

I just checked with the Hilton and the Marriott and neither one had information on rooms under the Fanime convention rate.  I'm sure more information on confirming and/or not confirming will come out from staff.

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Keyblade quickdraw idea

I've seen some of these keyblades, would most of them be made sturdy enough to withstand hitting the stand?

Would this require that everyone taking part use a digital camera?  Or if someone only had a fun-camera (one time use) they could go to Walgreens or CVS and get their pictures copied to a cd.  Maybe have a deadline for submissions and then 'you' could load all the pictures on to your laptop and sort them by character.  Then maybe at Stage Zero on Sunday afternoon or Monday sometime, have everyone vote for the pic they like best (either best representation/interpretation or most interesting pose or something) by a show of hands.  So you might have everyone work from a list of random characters, and include things like "long blue haired male in uniform" or "plaid school uniformed character"?

BSaphire usually runs the theme gatherings (example:  http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,12828.0.html).  She'll post in this forum probably December or January of 2013.

Origami for Beginners would be okay (basic folds, some easy items to start with, paper choices, folding the crane) with me.

I haven't yet (knock wood), but my friend has.  We were in a hurry to get to the other side of the convention center, and someone asked for her picture.  She said, sorry, she couldn't stop and the guy got pissy mad.  Of course, that made my friend all the more determined to NOT let him take her picture (but she still just said, sorry without getting rude back to him).  I can understand if you're in a rush to get somewhere (actually most of the people I have asked were very sweet about it and even tho in a hurry, paused to let me take a quick pic) but that's no reason to get mad.

I'll be glad to help demonstrate.  I'll probably be at swap meet again next year, so Friday morning (or before 3pm) or any time Saturday or Sunday (if you go that long) would be fine for me.

The bingo idea (like a scavenger hunt) sounds interesting.  Rather than just a checklist, make up different bingo cards with various anime characters and have people take what pictures they can.  Whoever either fills their card or gets more rows filled (hmmm, maybe fills the most spaces on the card) gets a prize or recognition or ...  As long as we're not all looking for exactly the same characters, we can get a variety of pictures.  Is that how the scavenger hunt was done?

Vic Mignogna ha ha ha ha ha (we've wondered every year why we can't get him).

Dang I thought I posted this before but I didn't see it on any of the pages.  A year or two ago someone had a vending machine next to their booth.  You put in a dollar (maybe it was two dollars) and got a capsule with a small figure in it, like the ones in Japan at the malls.  This vending machine had Yu Yu Hakusho figures.  It ran out pretty fast, when I came by a few hours later the machine was empty.  I'd like more of those.
