[gender-bend Xerxes Break]

Hey! I'm looking for a Pandora Hearts cosplayer or two or more to hang out with at Fanime 2014. ;D

I'm going as gender-bend Xerxes Break (Xena Break), so I think it would be super funny to find a gender-bend Vincent or Raven to hang out with if anyone is up for it. 8) But if anyone would like fem Break as an addition to their group or has any questions, reply or send me a message.

I don't have any pics of my cosplay atm, but the pieces should begin to come together in the next week or so. It's based on Break's casual outfit.

Boy, wouldn't that be a blast if Roxas was in charge of the Kingdom Hearts Gathering with Axel and Xion "assisting" him? xD

That's totally cool. It's going to take me awhile to get my Axel cosplay together. We just thought it might be fun to go for a photo shoot or something before Fanime if we find the time and money. 8)

I forgot to mention though that we were hoping to cosplay together at least two days together next year at Fanime. The cosplays listed in your signature look really ambitious, and I don't know if you'd want to spend so much time cosplaying Roxas. But if you are, we should talk some more and see if you would actually want to hang out with Xion and I. xD

To make a long story short, Xion and I met this year at Fanime, and we're looking for a third member of our group for Fanime 2014 or maybe sooner. Xion is taken, I'm working on an Axel cosplay, so we need a Roxas. Please pass this on if you know of a Roxas who might be interested.

Who we're looking for:
- A friend. We want someone who might want to hang out with us even when we're not cosplaying.
- A girl. Girls only, sorry guys. We don't hate you. We're just proud of being female gamers.
- A Kingdom Hearts Fan. Because... well, its just not fun cosplaying someone you're not obsessed with.
- Someone who has or is getting her own Organization 13 Roxas cosplay.
- Someone between 5'2" (Xion) and 5'11" (Axel). This can be with or without heels.
- Someone who lives in or close to the Silicon Valley

Your awesomeness will increase if you:
- Have a keyblade. Because fighting scenes are fun.
- Love sea salt ice cream. =9
- Have an ice cream maker (to potentially make said sea salt ice cream)
- Aren't too afraid of heights. (Ledge sitting is a hobby of Xion and mine)
- Are willing to carry and politely hand out marbles. =3
- Are good enough at riding a skateboard to burn Hayner with some serious mocking. >D

So I'm sewing a Female Roxas cosplay this year based on Roxas' casual clothes from the beginning of KH2, and I think I've figured out how to do mostly everything. Except for those darn checkers on Roxas' jacket.

I can't seem to find any good checkered ribbon or fabric that I could just sew on. For now my best idea is to cut a bunch of little black squares and sew/glue them on, but that is going to take forever.

Any other suggestions?

The most realistic-looking Roxas cosplay I can find on google tends to have the squares painted/screenprinted/glued(?) on, but if you are looking for something fast and easy to do yourself, that might not be an option. After a quick search, it seems as it ribbon with black and white stripes running the width instead of the length is quite impossible to find, as well.
Though, I found some black and white checkered elastic that comes in 1.5" and 1" sizes. It's elastic, not ribbon, so you'd have to be -really- careful when sewing to not stretch it, and it may look slightly strange once it is sewn, but it's an option if you can't find anything else.

I'm tempted to give that elastic a try, but I'm also worried about it looking strange once its sewn on. I think I've put too much time into my cosplay already to experiment with it. I'm just going to have to find more time lol.

But I think I have another way to do the checkers, if I can find a jean-like fabric that won't fray. I forget what it was called, but I found this sheet last year for my King Shu cosplay that you could apply to fabric to turn it into an iron-on. I'm thinking if I do that for a big sheet of black fabric then cut it into a bunch of identical squares, I'll save myself a little bit of time.

Thanks. =) I only need a row of two checkers though. I'm worried that if I cut two rows out of a larger piece of ribbon the edges will fray too much before I can get it on the jacket... But it looks cheap enough that I could test it out to see how well the ribbon holds together.

Thank you so much for the responses everyone! We've decided on a couple shoots, but unfortunately we don't have time for any more at this time. Queen Inori will be in Artist Alley most of Fanime if you want to reach us. We're up for random impromptu photos. =)

Queen Inori's table is T52. King Shu will probably be lurking with a camera.

We will be in full cosplays on Saturday and likely on Friday.
