Hey if HR doesn't open until 10am on Friday, I can pick up my staff badge from ConOps right? I have a shift that starts at 8:50am on Friday and it would be a lot easier on me if I didn't have to come down to San Jose on Thursday.

You guys are aware you will probably only get 3 people for FUC, right?

I'm not even sure what to do for the tourney because of that. Round robin, maybe? I'll have a contingency plan in case we actually do get a decent amount of people.

Rules'll probably be announced after the meeting today.

Could probably get more players for FUC if it wasn't on Friday since it's a working day. I know one player who can't make it because of its timeslot.

It'll still be easy to find by then. Fanime marathons should be a LITTLE more obscure than "This is the latest big thing to hit Cartoon Network!" IMO.

Are we allowed to show licensed shows? Here's some shows that were good but are often overlooked or is worth rewatching. I'm not sure what's good in a con environment so hopefully it's not too obscure. Let me know what you guys think. Unless specified, none of them should be licensed yet.

No one's gonna play Melty if it's on the PS2, there are so many differences from the PC version, including timing so doing your combos is different too. I didn't experience it myself but many transitioning from the PS2 found themselves relearning their combos. Last year it was a surprise to hear that it was a Melty PS2 tourny... and at 8am at that.

So if it's going to be on the PS2, don't bother having it at all and use the space for another game

AGTH - "Anime Games Text Hooker" is a useful tool for those who would like to play the game in Japanese. I only suggest this for people who are attempting to learn Japanese though... not for people to paste into some sort of babelfish program and get some horrible translation which would completely strip all personality and style from the writing.

If I could think of a costume that I could clearly pull off recognizably... I like Tsukihime enough that I'd be willing to put some effort into it. I mean, Shiki is a great character, but he's kind of generic. I guess the school uniform might be distinct enough.

It's not like I'm gonna dress up as NeroNvrnqsr, Kouma, or Wallachia though. Which leaves not too much.

As for Kara no Kyoukai, I could be Kokuto Mikiya and I'd be just like Shiki except even more generic-looking!
