5. Lying bout the history of pass price increases doesn't do any favors for one's credibility, especially when some of us like to keep our old paperwork and can fact-check all of this stuff.

Post paperwork please. Let's stop messing around and get serious about this matter.

I went through Wayback Machine to find registration prices over the last 10 years: http://imgur.com/a/jpxlh

Why was this even a thing at Fanimecon? It has absolutely nothing to do with anime, sci-fi, fantasy, video games, or anything else even remotely related to nerd culture.

The connection is by way of combat and martial arts, which is common in the action anime, manga, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, and gaming we enjoy. Self-Defense for Women has been an event at Fanime since 2009 when they first established The Dojo as an event venue, and it sounds like it continues to be a popular class nine years later.

Do you need to print out the email? What if you have it on your phone? My friend is in line and she didn't print out anything.

At Doubletree, they were able to scan the QR code from my iPhone.

I'm wondering myself how long pre-reg badge pickup will be for Saturday.. I want to know when I should get there. But I am planning to take the bus to get there, but it doesn't leave early enough on weekends to get there before 8pm to wait in line. I was thinking of getting there at 7am, but the earliest bus is 7:11am..

The Thursday pre-reg badge pickup at Doubletree Hotel was about 20 minutes, and according to Twitter, at the San Jose Convention Center, it was anywhere from 5-15 minutes, so the weekend wait times look favorable.

I'm only in my early 20s, have been attending Fanime since 2009, and yet I feel "too old" since I can't relate to most people my age and younger, in general, and at Fanime. I've always attended Fanime alone, which may be why I don't experience the same zest as other con-goers of my demographic. I'd love to connect with older and young mature fans in the future, though!

I'd just like to point out that badge-pickup was also available at Clockwork Alchemy. A friend of mine went Friday morning and she basically said that it took two seconds to get it. I guess not many people knew about it.

I only happened to learn of this tip (after I had already experienced Thursday's pre-reg failure) from a couple tweets with the #fanime and #fanimecon hashtags; other than that, it hadn't been publicized anywhere.

Will any of the FMVs be uploaded?  There were a few I loved, but I haven't found them on animemusicvideos.org.

Ideas and Suggestions / Program Guide 2010
May 27, 2009, 03:30:12 PM
This was my first time at Fanime, so I don't know what past program guides have been like.  This year's was great; however, would it be possible to include the time/place under the descriptions?  I found it tedious to go back and forth through the pocket guide.  Thanks!
