??? Last year was the South Hall, and it was great. I can't speak for all sellers but I sold well! Two years ago was when it was at the theater space that was too small and it was too crowded.

I dunno if a VR setup would be all that feasible at a con, but Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes can be played without VR! The non-VR version would be fun to have in the game room.

I hope the registration does not come up 1 day before the 1st day like two years ago

Has it ever truly been that close? Two years ago it was a week before the con. I remember because I was at Anime Central and was unable to make it into Swap Meet that year. ><

Thank you so much for the updates!! Looking forward to it. Will contest signups be announced on the Fanime Twitter/FB? Or should I just refresh the forums tomorrow afternoon?

It really depends on what you like doing. I've been attending for over 15 years but every now and then there's a panel listing that really impresses me, or some cool stuff to watch late at night. There's also sometimes good concerts, and other events. I highly recommend the swap meet, and the karaoke contest can be fun to watch too.

I do spend most of my time just cosplaying and taking photos. But the game room and artist alley at Fanime are some of my favorites at any con, so I also really always enjoy those too!

You guys are living my dream tbh. wanting to do a Magic Knight Rayearth cosplay in forever.

Omg our whole group keeps talking about how we've all wanted to do this cosplay for ages. Rayearth was one of the first ever anime I got into nearly 20 years ago, so I'm wayyyy overdue!

Everything I want to sing is from a 90s anime because I'm old. /salute

Quote from: Enkai on April 12, 2016, 07:59:52 PMI want to change up from my "sing all the Seramyu villain songs" stunt I have done in the past, and trying get a group so we can do 3-4 part harmony would be awesome.

Seramyu villain songs though... *_* Yaaaaaaaaaaas

Quote from: Nina Star 9 on April 12, 2016, 05:02:41 PMI would love to sing the OP of Rose of Versailles as Lady Oscar, but that depends on when I wear that costume.

That would be so great!!

I'm very interested in doing the karaoke contest this year -- haven't participated in like 5 years now! But I also hope there are updates soon, 'cause I can only do it if I'm not busy doing something else at the same time. I know it's usually always Friday night but yeah.

That would be outstanding.  DQIII is such an important game to the history of RPGs in the east, really when they became fully formed and dropped the baggage of Wizardy and Ultima III that was in their DNA from the start.  Also the first RPG with bunny girls!  :)

Our group has the bunny girl class too, hehe. :D

I'm doing the Idolm@ster gathering so if this is close to that (Sunday at 2?) I could join without having to change! :) Can probably bring some other IM@S people over too~

I think my group might have a Lantis now too!

Also OMG YAY PRESEA I AM SO EXCITED

My friends and I will be doing Dragon Quest III costumes (1988!) on Friday but I'm not sure if we'll be in them this late in the day. I guess we'll see and drop by if we are!

Ahhhh awesome! My friends and I are doing the Magic Knights and Ferio from Rayearth, and we are wearing them Saturday! I will be Umi. :D Either time would probably be fine but I voted for 11 because it's probably a little easier~

[edit] Oh I just saw the posts in the thread. 8D 1pm is also great. Hahaha. I will just be leaving/changing out around 2pm.

Wanted to put my voice in that some news on swap meet reg would be A++ :) Trying to work my schedule around it!

I'm doing a love wing bell group with my friends and if the timing works out for us, I'd love to join! Are you leaning towards Saturday or Sunday?
#16
While everyone's free to start whatever gatherings they want to have, there is also Love Live gathering already being planned for Sunday. But hey, Love Live is so popular that I'm sure both gatherings will be full of cosplayers. ;D

I think School Idol Festival characters would be welcome on Sunday! I'm cosplaying as a main μ's girl but my costume is from the mobile game too. :)

Cool, if I have time to drop by before Swap Meet I'll show up for the Friday gathering!

Is there any chance there will be an option to pick up badges at swap meet Friday? Because of work scheduling, my husband may not be able to get to the con until after 7pm on Friday when badge pick up closes. This really sucks for us since he's my #2 for the swap meet "booth" and we don't have a group reg.

I've been selling 3 years strong at the swap, to me its the best part of the con. Not just the selling but environment wise, like you can easily have a conversation with anyone because we all share the same passion.

I agree. Swap Meet is great for the money making, but I also just really like it as an experience. Last year was the first time in about 5 years that I didn't participate, and I really missed it.

Hoo-boy. $40. I hope those spaces are big!  :P I think this may be the first year I'm not sharing, too. Plus side I get to use all the space to fully show off my goods, downside is I have to eat that cost on my own...

But great news on the location announcement!! Thank you for the update!
