If we're waiting for the panelist/staff/etc instructions, how long should we expect to wait for them?

Yes, I'd like to know this, too. I think my spots for both days are reserved (and I sure hope so), but I'd love to get it paid for and totally done as soon as possible!

Obviously we're all stuck on step 5. Also, you should have received an email about Thursday and/or Friday status as "In Process" so I don't think we have to worry, just wait for them to approve us.

Seconding. I think we're maybe supposed to be stuck on Step 5, until our info is verified by the team. Just a guess, but that seems to be the case as far as I can tell. Sure hope my spot is held by when I filled out the rest!

I'm a panelist--it won't let me get past part 5 without the badge number, so please e-mail me back ASAP! I sure hope that won't mess up my chances.

So... I guess it won't be up today? Darn, I was really hoping it would be. I work on Saturdays, but heard it would be up at noon on a Saturday so here I am on a work computer.

I'm relying on selling at Fanime's Swap Meet to help me save for a big Japan trip, so it's making me nervous that sign-ups haven't been posted. If I miss out on getting a spot, it's going to be a major issue for me. :(

I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be hosting Poké-Scandalous! again at Fanime-Con 2014! As the title says, it will be on Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM in Panels 1.

The panel summary is:  "Pokémon is a popular children's franchise, but sometimes the canon material can be surprisingly scandalous! This panel exposes some of the stranger aspects of official Pokémon, such as banned episodes, rare comics, suggestive game lines, and other unexpected innuendo."

I hope to see as many of you there as possible! It's a fun panel, and its new 2-hour length means I can cover even more material, give out more prizes, and open up a Q&A at the end! Please let me know if you have any ideas or feedback! I had a wonderful time last year and was blown away the attendance and positive response. I'm so excited to be back this year, and with an extra hour!

I'm getting a bit antsy, too. I haven't heard anything back yet either. My panel was a big success last year and I'm crossing my fingers that it'll be on again this year. Hope we get approvals soon!

I don't know if anyone is reading this thread, but THANK YOU to everyone who came to the panel! It was a great success, so I was really astounded! I'm definitely planning on bringing it back next year, and perhaps as a two hour panel this time. I've already found new things to add! That way we can also have more quizzes and a Q&A.

Also, haha, the power plug thing won't happen again. I felt really foolish about that, but thank you to most of you for sticking around regardless. I had to hurry to set up because the previous panel went over time, so I didn't have time to locate the power source, you see.

I'm excited to do this panel again, and hope next year will have just as great of a turn-out, and as enthusiastic of an audience. Having been through the slideshow many times by myself, trust me, it isn't nearly the same without the crowd reactions. :P

I lost a paper bag (with a pony on it) with some Pokémon pins from artist's alley. I spent a decent amount on those pins, so I'm really sad that I lost them, and they were really cute. :( E-mail me at [email protected] if you have any info!

(I also had left out a "Favorite Pokémon" drawing pad for people to draw in on the tables closer to the Marriott. I was hoping to scan everyone's drawings at the end of the con. It was there Saturday night, but disappeared after that. I half-expected someone might make off with it so I'm not devastated, but if anyone has it, let me know!)

I'm doing my first panel this year, and I hope some of you lovely forums people will attend! It should be a lot of fun, and there will definitely be some awesome Pokémon prizes! (I'm also selling tons of Pokémon items at Swap Meet on Thursday and Friday--come say hello if you see me there!)

As the title and description suggest, it's definitely a 15+ type of panel, so just be aware of that.

If I can make it into this panel this year (it was too crowded last time), I may or may not bring along my gigantic shiny Magikarp pillow. It just came out in Japan on April 27th, is about 3' long, and will be arriving in the mail any day. :D

I'm a panelist this year, and also participating in Swap Meet on Thursday and Friday. Due to the panelist discount not being eligible if I pre-register, I did not pre-reg this year. I will still be able to register on Thursday, right, in the special registration line? I just want to make sure everything goes smoothly, as I'm coming to the con on Thursday instead of Friday specifically to sell at Swap Meet, and I'd also rather not miss out on my panelist discount.

+ Introduction: I'm a twenty-five year old female, hoping to find a room to sleep in for just Thursday night! I have a room with friends for Fri-Sun. I'm hoping to participate in the Swap Meet on Thursday. I've been attending conventions for eleven years now, have been to around 70+ cons, and this will be my 10th Fanime. I'm non-smoking, non-drinking, very friendly, mellow, and easy to deal with. I'm a huge Pokémon fan, so it helps if roommates are, too (I'm actually selling Pokémon stuff at the Swap Meet), but I also have dozens of other anime fandoms, so chances are we'll share fandoms no matter what. I can pay $30-40 to stay just Thursday, and will pay in cash on arrival.

+ Hotel Information: The Marriott would be preferable, seeing as I have lots of stuff and I'm staying in the Marriott with my friends the next nights. The Hilton would be fine as well!

+ Requirements: It would be awesome to be able to sleep in a bed, if possible, seeing as I won't be sleeping a lot for the rest of the convention. I don't mind sharing the bed with someone if they're considerate. I prefer non-smokers and non-drinkers, but light drinking is fine with me. I'd just rather it not be a party room, as I would like to get some sleep after Swap Meet!

I'm hoping to sell at the Swap Meet Thursday night, and my other roommates don't have a room for that night, so I'm hoping to find some nice roommates for just Thursday! I can pay $30-40 towards room costs, and can pay in cash immediately upon arrival. If I can sleep in a bed (shared with someone or not), that would be preferable, but it's not a big deal if there's no bed space. I prefer the Marriott because that's where my friends are staying and not having to haul everything a long way would be nice, but the Hilton would work, too.

I know it's short notice, but... 2-3 Roommates Wanted!

+ Introduction: Hi~! I'm Kristin, 24 years old, and this will be my ninth Fanime. Other roommates are my same-aged friends, one female and one male, also experienced con goers. We all LOVE Fanime to a ridiculous degree.
+ Hotel Information: We're staying in the Hilton attached to the convention center. One bed spot available, two floor spots. You can rotate on the bed and floor spots if you want. We're staying Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
+ Costs: $85 per person for all three nights. Please be able to pay cash on Friday night!
+ Requirements: Either gender is fine as long as you're respectful and friendly. No smoking or drugs, and we'd prefer no drinking in the room. Obviously no messing with other peoples' stuff. Being a Pokémon fan is a plus but certainly not a requirement. :P

+ Miscellaneous: We're a nice group to room with, pretty fun and mellow and definitely big anime/manga fans. Two of us cosplay. We typically go to bed around 2 AM or so (and get up around 9-10 AM), and we'd prefer people who keep similar hours if possible. If not, bring some earplugs, though we try to be quiet when people are sleeping! We make great roommates, so we hope some people will join us! We like making new friends. :D

Fanime has the best atmosphere of any con, in my opinion. The people there are relaxed, friendly, and upbeat, and the con really does live up to the idea of By Fans, For Fans. There are always fun and amazing events to attend that fit every taste and interest, it's not a stressful con (like a certain other con I could name), the venue is perfect for the event, and it offers a lot of unique experiences that other cons don't offer. I've been to a lot of cons, but Fanime is my favorite without a doubt. I'm constantly finding new things to love about it. I could probably write a book on why I love Fanime, LOL.

This will be my ninth year going to Fanime, and every year I feel like I've returned home.

You can go ahead and change what you're planning to sell on top of " other things" if you want to add it in there.

I was the mascot Umbreon cosplayer for much of Saturday. I was at the Pokémon gathering, at one point battling Sawsbuck. Anyone get pictures of me?

Anyone manage to snap any good pictures of me in my mascot-style Umbreon costume? I'm still lacking in pictures of that costume to post on DA, Cosplay.com, and whatnot so if anyone has pictures to share of me that you don't mind me reposting I would appreciate it very much. I was at the Pokémon gathering on Sunday and the Pokémon Cafe on Saturday night, as well as just wandering around in costume some Saturday and Sunday.
