Registration / Re: Can I go to fanime without a badge?
November 06, 2011, 07:11:06 AM
Frankly it's pretty boring without a badge. And remember the earlier you buy your badge the cheaper it is. Now correct me if I am wrong badge starts at $45.00? But dont quote me on that. And that is for the full weekend. If I am wrong it will start at $50.00.

I mean yeah if you absolutely can not afford it, you know it is fun to hang out with friends in the halls, or even hang out with the Cosplayers outside of the Convention Center. BUT! You CAN get into the convention center without a badge. You just cant go into rooms if you want to buy stuff in the dealers hall, you cant get into the viewing rooms, the masqurade, the Black and White Ball, the Dance... it is pretty fun WITH a badge.

haha well thats a bit of help but here....;
QuoteI would be careful with the sheer white as it may end up showing some naughty bits.
Uhm almost any leggings on me will be sheer, haha I have bigger legs, not thunder thighs... but I have strong legs, I use to do Ballet, and then moved for 2 years of Tai Chi (I did it so I force my body against itself I tense up when I do Tai Chi to get some strength in it as Master taught me to do). So I have some muscle haha.

But of course I will cover up the "naughties" of the costume. I mean I am secure with myself, but not so secure as to have another "Man-Fay" Incident (I dont know if you were there for that- or have even heard of it, but it DID happen at Fanime lol)

And of course I dont listen to the snoots. I kinda just blow them off more often than not. Although I am guilty of being a snoot when someone just tosses something together and does not put any heart into it. I just told them "You call that Cosplay? Put some heart and pride into your work, it does not even have to be expensive."
But thats the farthest I will go as being a snootie snoot.

Anyway yeah, thanks, that was a good bit of info. IF YOU CAN THINK OF ANYTHING I CAN DO TO MAKE THIS A BIT LESS "NAUGHTY" LET ME KNOW! =D
(P.S I will not take answers like "dont wear it", "dress your own gender", or "just wear pants"

Hello all. I am going to cosplay Hello Kitty for Samhain... Halloween (I more or less use to calling it Samhain sorry if I refer to it as that.). Anyway so I am getting the costume from Spirit. There was one I wanted to do last year, but this year I lost a bet and now I am obligated to wear it (even in front of my parents.). I even have to go out and about on Samhain dressed like this. I mean I dont have a problem with it because I will be in a more open minded area of town.

I was wonderig if a costume from Spirit REALLY counts as a "Cosplay."
I ask so that if it is approved so I can wear it to Fanime.

I will paste the picture below but let me embelish my few changes. Ok so I am going to wear the initial costume, but I am going to wear shear white (OR Ideally Soft or Baby Pink) Ruffle Butt shorts, and white GoGo boots (If I can find it I will attach a red bow to each boot.) Of course I will paint whiskers on myself to more capture the effect.

So what do you guys think?
And here is the picture;

Personally I would take off school if not today, tomorrow. BUT then again tomorrow, the line should not be THAT long. Tomorrow the hours are 8 AM to 8 PM so you should be good.

It seems the concept "they don't care who they're protesting, as long there's a crowd to get them attention!" escapes some people.
This group would protest even if it was Jesus himself holding an event.
Compared to the westboro church, they're actually more ignorant of the events they protest since wbc gets really personal. Though these idiots seem to be louder than wbc. It's hard to tell if they want people to punch them in order to sue the way wbc does.

There should be a like button XD
I would like this

Yeah true, I DID deprive my body of it, same if I eat meat.

About that guy who ate bacon for like all his life, good for him then if he survived. I mean the body adapts to the most extremes.

Still stands the fact  we should not totally ban happy meals, just make them healthier. Adults who eat McDonalds of course should moderate their intake. But hey, not judging there.

Quote from: Rin_chan on May 24, 2011, 11:56:23 AMIt might help, I'm not sure since I'm not a staff member, but if the postcard doesn't get sent out then I guess it wouldn't hurt to have it just in case.
Although we do keep good record tracking, it never hurts to have more information on you. This applies to more than just FanimeCon. :P

Ah spoken by the keyboard of a Forum Mod. Yeah then, I will take it lol THANKS GUYS! Everyone here has been uber helpful! So thanks again lol.

Ehh, I don't see the big deal in regulations like this.  In fact, I think it's a great idea.  Most food at McDonald's is healthy by no standards (I've studied this stuff, and trust me...it's bad & there are a lot more problems than just calories), so why not have them at least make an attempt to be healthier, especially if they're going to target kids?  If the parent isn't doing their job and putting their foot down, there's certainly nothing wrong with putting safeguards in place so the kid doesn't get hurt too much.

Well put.
And yeah they should attempt to make food healthier. When I use to eat that stuff, I didnt really care about the health standards, then last time I had some fries, I got sick because the food was just much to greasy. It was horrible that people feed that to their child. I never would unless they make the food healthier O.o

I was told when I go onto my account that there should be an EPostcard, I do not see one. I was told that I need this to pick up my badge, and that it would be up by well yesterday.

Are Bleach-related swastikas banned too?

Well the Bleach Swastika is not tilted like the Nazi's, and if you are cosplayed Bleach I think people will understand... I think you should be good as long as you are not saying "Heil Hitler!" hahahaha.

I dont think that they are BANNED. I just think Swastikas are frowned upon. And if someone does not get Bleach you might get some odd stares. However I just checked the Costume/ Weapons Policy for you, I see NOTHING about swastikas http://www.fanime.com/costume-and-weapon-policy/.

I mean I tried to look for an email, because now you got me curious, the only email address associated with Fanime I have is this one [email protected]. They MIGHT be able to help OR direct you to a person who can better answer the question. They get back quickly so you should get a difinitive answer before the Con.

This was simply a question. You complain about me, I should read posts more carefully. If YOU had read it you would have seen that this was a question. Your just a ***** troll so leave me alone. All you are is immature. I dont think many people here like you because you are in your own weird ass world, where you have to flame EVERYONE.
