if anyone is interested this is my con budget
I am driving up with my sister so gas and parking is halved
I also have a 4 person room reserved and am planning for 4 people in it
I am going to be there from thurday-monday

gas 15$
parking25$
food on the way to and from the con 10$
food at con 100$
hotel 135$
so this is the minimum at 285$

swap meet 50$
cosplay materials (I make my own) 50$
spending money (posssibly a BJD) 300$

so I need to save 685 :D not bad if you ask me

I actually bought some to use in art work. They're quite pose able so i figured I'd get one male and one female. they're pretty nice and cheap too at $30 for the doll with custom hair. I'm going to paint mine but i need to find good paint first.

if you need help with painting little obitsus go to www.junkyspot.com/OBITSU/forums or www.13doll.com/forums  both of these forums are very friendly and helpful :D ask questions and stuff and they'll help you out :) ask lou to help :D he is the faceup god XD

and as for supplies you need:
good quality water-based acrylics (I use Liqutex)
chalk pastels (oil = bad staining D:)
Mr. Super Clear matt, sealer ( aka MSC)

If we really wanted to do this I think we need the voluneteers first maybe have like 2-4hour shifts and only have cosplay repair open say... from 10am-6pm(the busiest times) or whatever

and have use of sewing machines and the like free but materials like fabric, ribbon and etc. have a price?
mabe have some air dry clay as well for armor and the like, also paint, especially silver for swords

also it would be good if anyone volunteering for this had sewing/cosplay-making experience.

anyways it would take planning manpower and supplies but if we do get it going I would be happy to help :D I will be bringing my sewing machine too :D

Is it that time of year again allready? Sheesh.

Allright newbies, listen up.

To be a volunteer you must do this:

1) Be registered for fanime in some fashion. Pre-reg or full con "at the door" are preferred, but we usually take all the help we can get.

2) Show up at the convention. If youre pre regged, you can come on thursday, get your badge, and start earning hours a day early.

3) Be 18 or older, or have a signed permission slip/wavier/soul stealing contract. Unfortunately, the wavier forms are not up yet. Keep an eye on the website during the weeks to come.

4) Show up at the barracks/vol hole/ninja lair all regged up and ready to go. Show them your badge, ID/permission slip, and tell them you wanna be a vol. The lovely assistants (yeah right XD) will hook you up.

5) Work. Work like a slave as though the whips of your master were at your very heels.

6) Have an awesome Fanime ^^

is this still how I volunteer? my sister and I would love to volunteer but I'd like to make sure someone knows we're comming! I think we'd be ok doing anything :D

when I volunteered at Dollectable they set me up with a schedule like a week or two beforehand, could we do that or is it too much trouble? ???
thanks!!
