Also, if I go through with this, I was wondering if I could atleast get a list of people willing to attend and what cosplay they might be doing so if we go out, I could provide them with the proper weapon that is most suited to their character such as Sephiroth with a long sword, Link with a sword and board, stuff like that. It would be neat to see a battle with villans vs heroes.
If there are any questions, please ask. I really wanna do this panel too @_@

I'd be interested in attending the panel. But if the group goes out, would it be easier to let everyone have the same weapon, shield, etc.? Then maybe you could demonstrate and let us practice some basic movements, swings, attacks, etc. If you get too many different weapons, it might get too complicated. Although if you get a lot of Amtgard'ers who know what they're doing, that might not matter.
Because I might be cosplaying a soccer player so maybe I can get a spell ball... ;D
Well Im just going to do combat classes only ^^;; Oh and Im not going to be doing any Archers either since I dont wanna provide like 5 200 dollar bows and like 500 arrows just to lend out to people @_@
The weapons present will probably be a bunch of shortswords, some longswords, a few shields, and probably a spear or two. The basic stuff.
Sounds like a fun idea! My group last year did a sword demonstation and panel. We were on the main stage Sunday afternoon. The Twilight Knights Renaissance Guild. I was the dude with the big two-handed longsword. Good times. Make sure that the Con organizers know your interest, and negotiate with them. We'll be doing the demonstration and panel again this year, plus we're in negotiations to hold all-night (midnight to 6 am) boffer battles in the main ballroom every night. Should be tons of fun. We're also negotiating to do katana and knife-fighting workshops. I wanted to also do sword-and-shield, or longsword lessons, but evidently everybody wants to be a frickin' ninja or something.
Oh really?? If Im not tired from playing smash all day, Ill attend hahaha. Seriously though, sounds like fun. Hopefully though I can get this panel in time. Hosting 2 panels is going to be a chore @_@
Sword and board you say? I wouldn't mind showing off a couple of "fancy maneuvers" for those interested.
