I get myself some ramune, and some of those marshmallow things with chocolate in the middle.. .. that starts the weekend and my con adventure every year.

one of those.
Not sure about what I'd have upon arrival, but I know the first morning of Fanime I'd hit Peggy Sues for breakfast.

Nothing ever goes according to plan at Fanime when I go, it seems like some greater force just doesn't want me to enjoy it as much as I could, doesn't mean I don't enjoy it, but for the past 2 years my card doesn't work when I'm there, I get sick from food wherever I eat, etc. This year will be different, I'm bringing and making food in my room. I will probably eat curry when I get there.

My friend wants to go get Ramen when we get to the Bay...but that's actually before Fanime. Hmm...By the time I actually get to Fanime after stressing the whole drive down (I hate long drives) I'll probably have something with a lot of sugar in it to replenish my blood sugar. go to maruichi in milpitas.
look it up. it's the best ramen in south bay/ east bay.
I usually just get jack in the box. I stay away from the con food, due to it's insane over pricing. ($15 for a four pack of ramune? No thanks, I can walk to a store 20 minutes from my house and get it for 89 cents a bottle.)
At my first Fanime I had a Ramune, it was my first one. So usually at the first chance I get I rejoice with a refreshing Ramune.
yummeh.
a burrito from iguanas.
Onigiri
Probably the other half of a sammich that roasted in sun. lol
Whatever I get at the store before I go to Fanime.
Well...I'm never eating the SOUP Of THE DAY at the Marriot Hotel every again...it sure made my day ;_;
Made me threw up all night after the concert D'8
Indian junk food. Gonna have allo tikki and cholay bhature.

They scrape you off the walls and ceiling of the convention center.
The bottle suggests that 1 should not take more then 2 bottles a day...
But it all suggests that you can drink half of 1 for a 'moderate' boost.
And thats why I'm buying 1 of these: http://www.amazon.com/5-Hour-Energy-Extra-Strength-Bottles/dp/B001BX4U2E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1239333643&sr=1-2 (http://www.amazon.com/5-Hour-Energy-Extra-Strength-Bottles/dp/B001BX4U2E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1239333643&sr=1-2)

oh yeah what i will eat @ Fanime. *said in cute voice* My mommy will probably make me a bento box because she makes yummy bento boxes (BTW she's from China)
If you guys are ballin, you can hit up house of genji on 1st street for some hibachi. ;)
I just had my friend's bday there =)
Tapioca express is on 10th and San Carlos. Quickly is... 2nd and San Carlos?
Sonoma Chicken on market street! I just ate there for the first time. Your food's done really fast and the prices are reasonable for what they are. I got a platter of ribs in 2 minutes =X
Well first year(last year) we went to this dinner across the street. Hopefully we can go back to that place(once all three of us are there)
I feast on the hearts on the weeboo when I arrive to fanime!!!...which means a sandwich and an apple. Remember to eat plenty of fruit and veggies kids.

I tip based soley on the experience. If I'm picking up take out food, no I do not tip. If the service isn't good, heck no I do not tip. If the service is ok, I tip at about 15%. If the service is good, I tip well.
I do this all year long, not a fanime thing. I'm not as bad as my mother, who was a waitress. She once left a tip that was a note telling the waiter to button his shirt and get a different job.
Don't tip at all? ouch. Unless they did a horrendous job, like not check on me at all or not get my order to me in a timely manner, etc. I give them the standard 15%. horrendous gets 10%.
My roommate is a valet parker at the Marriott, so he tells me first hand that the majority of Fanime goers don't tip them nor the bellboys. I pray everyone in this thread tips. :)
How did it go to eating to tipping the bellboy. lol

That's the whole point of me asking if he tips. :)
It's a reference to the lack of tipping that occurs at the Marriott.
Bad gets no tip or very low tip. Decent gets 10% tip. Good/great gets a 15%+ from me.

Actually, we try to tip for buffet restaurants too, just not the usual 15%-20%. Closer to 10%-15%. The idea being that they still clear the table of the dishes during the meal and at places like Todai, they serve the drinks too. At hotels like the Hilton, I try to tip $3-$5 depending on the service. And an additional $5-$10/day for the maids. But thanks for the reminder to bring more cash in smaller bills.
Back on topic, I'll be there first thing Saturday morning, so probably some type of breakfast food.
I just found out I have 6 POUNDS of pretzels in my closet.
They are all sealed up too.
Who wants Pretzels?
O.O.... that is ALOT of pretzels!!
Since I have a big arse discount at B&N's cafe..... i'll probably go eat at one of them if there is one nearby.

If you want I'll eat some before you decide to eat it, just to make sure it won't give you food poisoning. I've never had that problem there which is why I'm willing to do this. But seriously this place is awesome, and the salads are also good, and they have Sierra Nevada on tap.
The first thing I eat at Fanime...melon bread. I want to cook Takoyaki this year, but I doubt the Marriott staff wouldn't approve of the cooking aromas wafting from the Logistics room... :-\

Is this just for a snack or an actual meal?
Never been a fan of Rice Crispies Treats...
O_O But there so good. XD
I make my own Rice Crispies treats
*bows down*
Home made ones are probably better.
They are. I make them 5x bigger than the ones in the package. ;D

During the winter holidays (Thanksgiving and sometimes Christmas) I hand make rice crispie treats and shape them into the size of an actual turkey leg. To give it a "skin" look I dip the "leg" into melted chocolate and let it set.
Now I want to make some tomorrow...I think I'll treat my Logistic staffers mini rice crispie "turkey legs" for their hard work.... :D

EDIT: friend told me Pizza my heart gave people food poisoning in the past...pass..>_>..
If you want I'll eat some before you decide to eat it, just to make sure it won't give you food poisoning. I've never had that problem there which is why I'm willing to do this. But seriously this place is awesome, and the salads are also good, and they have Sierra Nevada on tap.
Hah
Actually a few friends and I are gonna hit up a pizza place around the con (apparently a really good one so I heard?) Saturday since Thursday and Friday will be our swap meet battle ground for rare and elusive pokemo-.. I mean animu merchandise..>_>. You can tag along if you want =P
All I know is when I mentioned Pizza my heart to one, he said "bah"
Other than that though, I plan to go grab a Vietnamese sandwich or two a few blocks away at this nice little place. Been a tradition of mine for the last 6 years =D. Cheaper and " healthier" ( or should I say less shittier..-_- ) for you than McDonalds...
awww...Rice Crispies Treats are soooo yummy <3
I like it how when you bite into it and its stretches out all sticky >.<
Hmmm...maybe I shall bring in some garlic bread...
BBQ eel over rice and seaweed salad. Maybe some fried octopus ball. :D

First thing I eat (well drink) are energy drinks. Specifically my favorite, NOS. I end up eating once a day and it's usually Pizza my heart or jack in the box.
