Im just curious on what everyone does here to earn their pocket money.
I work as a uverse tech for AT&T. Basically that means I do installs for telephone, internet and tv. and we also sometimes re-wire alarms.
I'm a student... ;.;
I also work for my school district, mainly my own school-- at the big expensive theater. (:
Student stage technician. We are supposed to get paid... We also do odd-end jobs around the campus and build stuff. >.>
Mm, power saws, pneumatic staple guns... <3
I work at a place called Precision Castparts..we make parts for airplane engines, cars, all sorts of stuff. The plane I fflew down and back in actually had a part we make in the engines.. (737).
I'm a grinder..so I pretty much grind out defects/imperfections, make sure things are within tolerances, etc. I suck with explaining things.
I am a Sales Associate at Victoria's Secret
I hustle for people to get angel's credit cards...People always ask why we do it...ITS TO GET HOURS OKAY D:< and I really need the hours /rant
It comes with alot of perks, 30 percent discount actually 45 on gift sets. Free merch when we get a new arrivals like the Bio Fit bra and samples of alot of beauty products
I also work in the beauty sections there and along with the arranging of delicate panties (in which people always mess up) D:
Buut I love my job~
I work at a local bank here in my small town. I do new accounts, and loan secretary duties. It's a good job, doesn't pay anywhere near what people think, but the hours are great. I work full time, Monday through Friday, 8 to 5pm. Only downside is getting time off. We have to schedule vacation half a year in advance, and I'm on the lower seniority rankings, so I get stuck with last picks. This year's Fanime had to be planned out since last December.
So yeah, that's my job in a nutshell.
Didn't we have a thread like this before? Oh well, here goes.
I teach computers to Pre-K thru 6th Grade students at a local elementary school. I'm also a part time clerk in the school office. Honestly I do a little bit of everything in the school. It's a total blast and the kids really amaze me with their ability to learn and willingness to experiment with the computers. I rarely go a week without saying "Wow! How did you do that?" Sometimes I feel like they are teaching me. But the kids tell me they love my class, and they'll miss me over the summer and that makes me SO proud.
I love my job.
I'm a student so my parents pay for living expenses (I buy my own food though -_- go figure)
But to get cash on the side I work in a pricey restaurante called Turtle Bay in Foster City. It pays well :D
(ALSO WE'RE LOOKING FOR SERVERS IF ANYONE'S INTERESTED *COUGH COUGH*)
Well, I am *supposed* to be an apprentice for tattooing and piercing.
I work at Quiznos.
I make sandwiches.
I am also a student and currently look for a job.
I'm a Drug Dealer.
I make people happy for a few moments in their measly insignificant useless lives.
(I work in a pharmacy, my actual title is "Phamacists Ancillary")
I work at UPS. As a Metro Package Unloader.
Nuff said.
I'm a systems engineer for the Bay Area's largest (and only) defense contractor. And I can't tell you what I do, it's classified, bwhahahaha. :P

I too am a student and I'm trying to find a job as well, but I am doing volunteer work at the mean time.
I run my friends computer company (He's the CEO).
If I'm not there, shit doesn't get done that day. Go figure.
Official title is COO, but I don't think it matters much, It's pretty much a title and a nice office I never use.

"what do you do?" - its actually my company's motto.
I work for Manpower and I'm HR Project Manager/Staffing Coordinator.
Basically I help people and companies find jobs and match employees to open positions.
I've worked for companies like Hitachi, Google, Cisco, Cirque Du Soleil and Stanford Medical services to name a few ;) Always something different.
there is SO much paperwork involved with HR its ridiculous, but theres always something to do. in many ways I baby sit Employers and Employee with all sorts of needs and issues: when ppl need jobs, replacements, new updated paperwork or make sure people get paid cuz you know... this tihng called money is pretty important. :P

I am currently a student, but also at the moment I'm doing a externship as a dental assistant, so I sorta have a job, but I don't get paid to do it. Ain't that a bitch.

Dramatic? well I cant say many dramatic things happen for my job but Ive had my fair share.
when I do a usual DSL order I have to access a telephone box on the side of the road. when I opened one up, there was a swarm of bee's living in it. Ive never ran so fast in my life nor have I ever been stung so many times.
Also on another job I had to crawl under a house. I found a family of possum's living under there in one corner. When me and momma possum made eye contact, I slowly turned around and crawled back as fast as I can. LOL
Well might as well say what I do so I'm a Heavy Diesel Tech and Commerical Truck Driver when they need me to be. Its fun as I get to work with my hands and all the fun tools as well as operate many fun vehicles like backhoes, forklifts, earth movers, steam rollers and my favorite big rigs which I fancy driving. Now the stories could go on but all I need to say is in this line of work you win some you lose some :-\ but I still like it.
I've been working in foodservice for 6 years, and I've been a server for most of it.
Full time student with no job. Loving the no job, hating the no money.
I work at the German and US Embassy as a translator and Visa Approver on Fri-Mon. Also at my school at the front desk when I'm not in class. but for all 3 jobs I just sit on my ass and look cute and translate.
Currently jobless...
I shall be looking soon as soon as I finish the summer college session.

After playing Dead Rising (on xbox 360) this gives me WAY to many ideas on how to deal with a large zombie horde. Remember when the world goes to crap, and the zombies are running amuck, you're practically one of the first people I'm gonna call. :D
I work pretty much in Hell, doing things that I can't talk about. |:

Wait a minute...what were YOU DOING at the Crazy Horse!?!?
I got myself a job, I'll be working at a thrift store and I start first thing tomorrow at 9AM.
I got a promotion! My school created a brand new position just for me! I am the only person in my school district to be a full time Educational Technology Specialist. It's very exciting! I think this year is going to be awesome. ;D
I'm about to be hired by me extern site. A part time dental assistant while I finish school. AWESOME. More money means not having to worry about gas to get me to gatherings, and much more money for fanime next year.
I'm a Marvel hustler at Nickel City
Still apprenticing, and I am now officially subsitute teacher...just waiting for my PIN card and stuff so I can log into the subfinder thingy and set up my schedules and stuff.
I throw adorable little puppy dogs over cliffs.

*throws you over the cliff and saves the puppies* ;D
i work for blue buffalo, i stand around in pet stores and try and talk people in to buying my food.
its decent. i dont get enough hours, but the pay is great, and hopefully soon, once im up for review, i can start getting some more.
its a job, i guess.
I work for Palm Inc. as a contract worker. Most of the stuff I do is with confidential devices and most of the time I either take screenshots or edit screenshots for user guides.
I don't really have a job. I am a college student who is not currently in college.
The only paying job I have right now is working once a month at a temporary staffing company called Action Figures. They do staffing for medical and computer conventions in the San Francisco area. It's fun but I wish I had more work then once a month. I also currently volunteer at my local farmers market on Satudays.
In the mean time I look for work when I can. I have a dream of opening my own tea cafe, but I also am interested in being a voice actor and have even done some amature productions over You Tube.
I WAS an Administrative Assistant. But I'm not anymore. I got laid off today, so I'm sad. Or atleast I'm sad until the Unemployment money starts coming in. Then I'm shopping.
I'm an assistant manager for Bath & Body Works. I get to spend all day making the associates talk the customers into trying lotions on. If I'm lucky I get to spend the entire day recieving hundreds of boxes, carrying them into the stock room and putting all the new stuff out on the sales floor. The antisocial freak in me loves the stock days where I don't have to actually deal with anyone. Right now I'm working all the way out at the Gilroy Outlets. Hoping to be able to transfer to a store closer to home soon.
It's official, I am now a dental assistant. No longer an intern.
