My school did this for their Karaoke night, so maybe Fanime could do it too?
For Karaoke i think that there should be a projector in the background of the person singing of the anime/music video that the song is from.
I think it would be good since there would probably be a translation of the song on the screen.

Sure, would you like to compile videos for some odd 8000 songs, create and time the videos for the Karaoke version, and provide the computer and screen to run this?
It's unrealistic and problematic. The reason you were able to was because you had a premade database with premade existing karaoke songs already. Those aren't so convenient for anime/Japanese songs outside of Japan, and unless you want to shell out the thousands of dollars to get one, import it here, and maintain it... I doubt it's going to happen.
