Yeah, you heard me Yaoi Con. = September 26-28
San Mateo, Mariott.
Anyone else going?
Digusted by Yaoi?
Turned on by it?
Discuss, Gather up, have fun. Repeat. :D
I'm curious enough to want to go this year.
I'm a maybe
I might go since I do live in San Mateo, even though I'm not too big on yaoi.
Still haven't decided, so its a maybe for me
someone remind me why I'm going again.
Damn my desire for photography... :'(
if jerry is down for it, then im in too. hopefully a repeat of last years awesome-ness happens again.
Something tells me I probably won't be able to make it due to CSU writing proficiency exams that weekend, but I'll see what happens when the time comes. lol.
I've been wanting to go for a while, but I could never make it, for some weird reason @___@.
I'll be there this year.
I have a friend coming in from out of town for it, so I'll probably swing by to see what it's like.
I'll be there with friends, meeting more friends ;D
Maybe, I'll have to see how money is after my vacation in Sept.
My girlfriend is also showing up, I'm just hoping I have enough for that weekend.
Not even maybe.
Depends on how I'm doing money wise. But I'm certainly considering going, I actually had a pretty good time last year. Considering also which of my friends decide to show up as to whether or not I'm going to attend as well.
I'd LOVE to go!!!!
Of course, that depends if I have monies by then...and if I am part of the crew for the tattoo convention in SF. Which is also in September. (lololololol Booth bitch here we go! XD)
Does anyone who's going know if you can just go one day or if you have to register to go all weekend. I couldn't find anything on the site saying if they had singe day passes or not. ¬_¬
I'm going for one day, saturday, but i'm not paying. I'll be there to hang out and that's it.

I'll see if I can hop the Caltrain and meet up with ya. That cool?
Heck, I randomly dragged out Otaku last year and we got there AFTER Registration and yet we still had a good time!
and of course, Dr. O met Dr. Who ~ with some sexy results.
That and a bottle of Teqiulla Rose and Dr. O has never been the same.
" what happens at Yaoi Con.... ~ usually ends up on the internets. ;) "
basically u could buy a single day pass (but its a bit on the pricey side)
give or take (rough estimate) is about $30/day or $55 for the weekend
i'm going with a 'small' crew so yah im even cosplaying (GASP) again.
but yah, i prolly wont even know what im doing. (do i ever?) :P
Oh ok, we might conseider going one day still, when is everyone else planning to go?
I might cosplay too. ^_^
I'll have to see how I do (money-wise) since I'll probably be broke from making my costume for Fanime....
Though I might go, it seems very interesting.
ill be going all weekend (4th time going ^^)

*Fake Leave Britney Alone Crying Rant*
LEAVE EBNER ALONE *WAHHH* *SOB SOB*
STOP PICKING ON HIM!#*!*!*
*WAHHHHH*
Another note, I will only go, if Mike/Calvin and the crew decide to roll up in that bitch.
I'll be going again this year :). Though once again I'll be 'working' at the con as one of YCon's bishies >_>
If I end up working a weekend OT shift that Saturday, I'll drop in after 6PM seeing as my workplace is literally a 5 minute drive from the hotel.
I would love to go, but flying out to Fanime is going to tear a bigger hole in my pockets as is. *sigh* And I'm a huge yaoi addict.
I'm attending Saturday and Sunday. I'm cosplaying as Chrono Harlaown from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.
I'll be there. This will be my fourth time going.

How late you are staying Sunday and is there a possibility you could give me a ride back home?
if i do end up being able to go, it will be based upon a huge fucking amount of luck.
Only 3 more weeks to go...
Which means I need to get cracking on finalizing my auction skit >_>
I've heard that some of the guys who attend wear scantily-clad clothing and like to glomp other male con-goers. What is the clothing (or lack thereof) they wear like and why do they dress like that? Does anyone here participate in that?
hm so seeing as I was a fanime newb this past year I have no idea what yaoi con is. I have a basic idea of what constitutes yaoi (pretty boy on pretty boy romance?) but beyond that this con is news to me, anybody care to explain?

go just for the hell of it. its fun anyways(i had fun last year, and it wasn't even planned)
Male/Male, doesn't have to be bishies (although that's what most of us drool over). Best thing might be for you to visit the YaoiCon site at www.yaoicon.com and take a look.
Bweh heh heh ...
Although it's pretty much like any other anime convention except for the concentration on yaoi. Fans, cosplaying, vendors/dealer room, panels (mostly yaoi centered), bingo, an AMV contest, other contests, art show, oh, and a charity auction.
@Atlus - well Yaoi Con is an 18+ con dedicated to the yaoi genre. Attendance is mainly by women, but theres always a couple guys there too (as well as the ones that participate in the Bishonen Bingo and the Bishonen Auction). Dealers room has more yaoi and shonenai goods than what you'd normally see at a regular con, and panels dedicated to all things yaoi (went to a History of Yaoi panel once, it was actually pretty interesting). All in all its a really fun con especially since you don't have to deal with the sometimes immature underage fanbase.
basically what everyone else has said ^^
I go to that con not for its dedicated content, but to meet and hang out with friends, play video games, and give out cake. 8)
Oh yeah, also work the game room, too, even though it's not the CHUG group running it this year.
3 days and counting...
I have to go to a wedding. :-\
I'll probably go, lack of children is always amusing. ♥
bahhh Im torn, I've never been to one so Im curious how it all goes down (that and the lack of under 18 guests is promising) but there's also the grand opening of the academy of science!!!!
I might drop in and penetrate the con.
I might come.
I might have a good time.
I might get with some old friends and maybe make some new ones.
I might wear a costume while I'm inside.
It might help me with my human sexuality course.
I'm not using saying anything dirty...
