At 10 am on friday I'm going to this dental place in Rocklin to have it done. Oh this not going to go to be fun.
Hehehe. I had all four of mine pulled two weeks ago...
And now after I got them pulled my teeth are moving so my bite is messed up.....
I'm waiting til the weekend before I can eat really hard to eat things like T-bone steak.
We have alot of apple sause on stand by.
Eh. You're only going to eat it for like 2 days at most....
That's what I did because my healing was a bit slow...
After that you can probably have stuff like mashed potatoes, porridge, and purees.
We have all that stuff I think.
You should wait 2 years and let me do it =P
Feel the burn, feel it! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
but seriously, hope that they give you the happy gas and not an injection.

I think they'll knock me out-out that's what I asked for.
I had 12 shots total for the injection. @__________________________________@
3 on top+bottom, on each side. They were drilled and hammered out while I was conscious. They were impacted.
I'll never go to a dentist again. >:/
Oh man.. I need to get mine taken out, but they are not hurting me at all.
Wasn't there a Greenday music video that showed a close up of a dentist pulling
teeth? :(
I believe so....not %100 though. O_o
It sounds like a GreenDay sort of thing. XD
*shivers* >:/
Ugh, wisdom teeth. *shudder*
Note: Don't eat anything/drink anything you have to suck, the suction can pull out your sutures, and that would be BAD. I survived the first two days on: Slimfast (Chocolate something....), Jello, a smoothie (eaten with a spoooooon.), and I think I may have had a bowl of soup that had cooled down.
Also: Keep the gauze in, there's a chance you're going to be bleeding for the first two days. : / I did.
Oh, and of course: Keep ice on your cheeks. D: You're gonna puff up, and the ice will help. And pain killers.
Expect to sleep the rest of your daaaaaay. Hopefully you'll see this.
D: Good luck, hope your gums heal quickly.

Is there a difference? I mean I know laughing gas makes you laugh.......
I got needled... It wasn't bad at all.
I'm back after the pulling and a LONG nap and I feel fine blood in my spit and some swelled gums but that's normal.
Oh man I was so loopy when they gassed me I remember , "Hey, dude I feel so crazy right--zzzzzzzzzzzzz*

I'm so glad I don't have wisdom teeth.
Oh you'll get them, when you're around 18 you'll feel them growing.
We shall see in 5 months when I turn 18.
You are not going to feel them grow it's going to be slow just check back there during the early days of being 18.

Go get an x-ray at your dentist and get back to us. They told me mine were never going to drop. Guess what? THEY DROPPED!! the good news is I only had upper wisdom teeth. I was only KO'd for 10 minutes. I didn't realize the operation occured until i noticed there was gauze in my mouth. >_>;;

That's what my doctor told me... >.>;
Until 3 months before I turned 18, they were fully grown and impacted.... Lol...
Not to mention one of them were down really deep...
I suggest you get them pulled early so they don't grow down too deep.....

The difference is that laughing gas does NOTHING to numb the pain.
The injection doesn't hurt much at all, at least not as much as going without.
Yeah the Laughing Gas made me a bit loopy before injected me through the IV (sp?) I was wake for like 10 seconds then I remember I was halfway home when I woke up to the sounds of R.E.M.

Yep, general anesthesia is fun, but I avoid it whenever possible.
One, I hate to not have control of situations
Two, I have been to a hospital nearly 50 times and not ONCE has the incompetent nurse been able to get an IV to work in the first five tries.
But my loathing for Dentists seems to be impenetrable by 'laughing gas. So I just go with Novocaine, lots, of Novocaine.
It was funny, if I was awake for 10 more seconds I would of broke out into song, I've done it before drunk (Sung one of the theme songs to Eureka SeveN I think it was Taiyou no Mannaka he by Bivattchee at a party once.) it's kinda like the same thing just quicker.
With my experience, IV is only for people who just can't stand the pressure of being awake when the dentist is extracting your teeth. I have to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled but I'm going to sit through it awake (and hopefully alive..>_>) till the end.
I suggest your normal anesthesia with the needle. Give it 10-15 minutes and you won't feel a thing. If anything, it's what job-shadowing got almost 100 hours has taught me...-_-;
They are already out, got them removed friday. I was out for the whole time even though it took 5/10 minutes. I just don't like what's going on that's why I asked to be put out out.
5-10 minutes each? or you mean all 4? That's technically impossible to remove all of them while stitching your skin back up in 10 minutes...~_~;
Well... I guess at your age, removing wisdom teeth is fairly simple since they don't take root if you catch it early enough ( which it seems to be in your case). It's also a good thing they weren't impacted with your other teeth cause then it probably required a specialist to remove them.
Finally, you need to be knocked out? Wuss.. =D ..j/k.
But I hear ya. It's funny coming from someone like me who is going into the same practice to say I need to be knocked out too when I get my teeth pulled if it looks bad...>_>; I'll find out when I go back home this x-mas.

shit, staying awake while they wedge teeth out of my jaw? i'll pass. IV sedation for me.
Well when I went to remove my wisdom teeth, it was my second time going into oral surgery.
The other time when one of my teeth was under my gums...
So I'd say I'm pretty used to the whole Oral Surgery procedure...
The doctor still recommended me being IV and needled since one of my impacted teeth had a really long root and had a chance of damaging my nerves.... And so well, he IVed and needled me...
The funny thing? I actualy walked out of the office into the car, my sister drove me home, then I got out and went into the house, took of my shoes and went to sleep on the couch...
I woke up not having any recollections of this incident whatsoever...
I was still out when they where done, they wheeled me out to the car and my mom drove me home, I have a mouth full of guase and was chewing on them. (I don't remember that's what she told me) so my Mom took them out they were already dripping with blood, I was saying works that were Jibber-Jabber then I was chewing the inside of my cheek so the inside of my cheek is a bit chew on and hurts a little.

Ew... Really... >.>;
She took them out for you? Like she really stuck her hand in your mouth to change them??
Well I never chewed on my cheeks... I didn't even have the will power to opem my mouth wide enough to fit the teaspoon of yogurt in my mouth... Let alone chew anything.
My incisions were all the way to my cheeks... How much did they cut up in your mouth?

She knews what she was doing she works at a Hospitial, and I was out so will power was in the picture. Just th good old fashion yank and pull and a bit if gum peeling. I've been eating Pupping, Yogurt and, apple sause just fine.
Maybe you guys should be dentists. You're all talking about this like it's a hobby ???
Oh no thank you. Well if I get to pull teeth all day then MAYBE.

Oh god no. I couldn't. I'm sorry but I really belive Dentists to be pure evil.
Not because they torture you, ( I realzie that is sometimes nessecery) but because they are the only people I know who will drag 'you' ( even shcool-children for god's sake!) in at 8 am on a Saterday morning.
There is NO excuse for that shit. None.
Thre are better than the Hygentist though.
