Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

I will be Seras Victoria in her blue outfit. So excited for this year!
i've been thinking about being one of the Valentine brother's armed ghouls.

I'll be there, probably in an OVA Ceras costume. Possibly Blood Ceras. On the other hand, I might just toss it out the window and try Zorin this year. XD But I'll be there, whatever costume. I believe my friends, Rip Van Winkle and Anderson, will also be returning this year.

IF...if I make it to Fanime *crosses fingers*, I'll be bringing my full out werewolf Captain cosplay with me. *hopes people will know who she is* XD
If I can convince her (and because I need someone to be with me in that costume, its hard to see out of it, hahah...), I'll have a Doc with me, too.

I'm going to end up killing people by posting to this thread so much so early before the convention, hehe. *bows* Either way, I had to strike out my werewolf Captain, he's taking a break this year. I'll still be there, but as something a little awkward. XD
I'll now be showing up to the group as a full suited Alupuppy/Puppycard/Hellhound/what have you! I switched out my spotter's Dok costume, she will now be attending the group in my Alucard cosplay along with me. =)

So I'm thinking Sunday would be the best day for this, mainly because it's not Masquerade day. As for time, probably noon or after, maybe 1 or 2 ish (for those with extensive getting ready to do, so they don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn).

Huzzah, it's all coming together! Just sent in the info to have the gathering added to the official list.
Also, very excited cause a new piece for my armor is arriving tomorrow! It will now be a bit more accurate, and a bit easier to wear (thank goodness for that!). Hopefully we get mild weather again this year. It was nice and foggy for the whole weekend last year, it was actually quite pleasant to be wearing a wool cloak.

I am currently facing a small delima and I was wondering if the Hellsing Gathering could move to 2:30 pm instead of 2 pm... same location and day just 1/2 hour later. Please let me know ASAP. Currently I am looking to schedule to Cosplay Chess games (one Bleach and the other Code Geass vs other Cosplayers) that will run back to back starting at 10 am - 12 pm, Bleach gathering, Code Geass vs. cosplayers cosplay chess, Code Geass gathering then Hellsing gathering.

Basically, we all stand around and get our pictures taken. Photographers will sometimes direct shots they want, and generally we cosplayers will have some ideas about pictures we want done.
Typical Requests:
- Group all the cosplayers of one character together for a picture
- Huge group pictures with everyone
- Good guys vs. Bad guys
- One-on-one fight pictures (Alucard vs. Anderson, for example)
- Individual shots
- Scenes from the manga/anime
Practice striking a few poses in front of a mirror. It can sometimes be difficult to think of one on the spot, and you won't know what it looks like.
It's also a time to meet and greet the other cosplayers. Makes it easy because you know you have at least ONE interest in common. ^_^

There will be several photographers with known websites who will be around (from cosplay.com, for example) and you can check there for the photos, and the official Fanime photographers will no doubt have a website with all the pictures they took.
There will also be a crowd of people with their own cameras taking pictures for themselves. A common practice is for people in the gathering to give their camera to someone in the crowd and ask them to take a picture (but keep an eye on your camera so it doesn't wander away). I always ask a friend to come to a gathering I'm in so they can take pictures for me.
After Fanime, we can use this thread to post our gathering pictures so that those who couldn't take their own can see them.

I've had some luck finding gloves in Vintage thrift/consignment stores, but I only know of the one here in Santa Cruz, so that's probably not much help.
If all else fails you can find them in various styles and qualities at amazon.com (or the online store of your choice). The only problem is you'll probably end up paying around $15.00 in shipping charges.
Yeah, I bought my gloves for Schrodinger here in downtown Santa Cruz; if you're nearby, definitely check the stores there. I got mine at a place called "MoonZoom", for cheap. $6.00 I think. Good luck!

Check out a Diddams, they've got a ton of costumes and party supplies, I know I saw an entire display of gloves when I was walking through one today in Mountain View.

I'm so glad everyone likes Baskerville! XD He got a bit of a make over for Fanime, so he will be all shiny and new for the group~ I still couldn't finish his collar in time, though. =( So hopefully no one minds how inaccurate he'll sort of be without it, until its done, haha. XD
@Rette - Yeah, the heat is the one thing that get to me in that sucker. =( My spotter will have lots o' water for me, though, and the moving jaw allows me to drink (w/ straw, plz) and even eat, haha, so all will be well~

The heat has been worrying me, too.
I have a costume for Alucard that can get kind of warm. Especially the tops ... coat and shirt.
I had a longsleeve button-down formal shirt for Alucard but I'm scrapping it 'cause of the weather ... and wearing a t-shirt with a black dog on it. >_<

And the coat ... I'm worried about the heat in Alucard's coat. -__-;;

If the heat gets really bad (for those of us in many-layered/fuzzy outfits) we can always step inside the convention center and gather in the Lobby. I don't think it'll be too much of a problem since we're gathering on the Hilton side of the courtyard, which usually has a bunch of shade (there are some trees... and buildings).
I'm going to be wearing my full costume come hell or high water, mostly because I can't really get away with substitutions or leaving pieces out.

I would also like to thank Rette for hosting this, it was bloody amazing and lots of fun~ Not to mention your cosplay, and everyone else's cosplays, were super awesome! I can't wait to see more pictures of the gathering~
I'm going to miss the con so much! *doesn't want to go back to Colorado now* You guys seriously made it an awesome first Fanime for me, so thank you to everyone in the group, too!
I had a lot of fun running around in Baskerville, I'm so glad everyone loved him, and thanks for all the hugs! ;)
I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of the group since my camera died and my spotter did not have one on her either, so I come back empty handed as far as photos go, hehe.

W-w that gathering was really awesome. Definitely the highlight of the con for me and most well-organized one I've been to yet! I was er.. the Alucard who was ..eh.. biting everyone.. Thanks for all the epic ideas guys! I'm just not creative enough with poses hahaha... /flail
@LordMoufMouf: That's fine by me! Go right ahead. I hardly ever use my Cosplay.com account, so I've no idea how to acquire my user number, but my username on it is Proxy.exe. My dA username is Rail--Tracer. Glad you liked the photos!
And agreed, this gathering was so organized and incredibly fun, definitely the best one I've had the pleasure of attending!
