Side by side, mowing down zombies; sounds like a twisted take on a love story, but yea. just make sure that damn hunter doesn't kill me(they go after me too damn much.
Still need to play through Blood Harvest and then Versus Mode, but I'm still curious about that one specific achievement at the bottom of the list...
If it wasn't for Gears i'd have bought it.....might get it for christmas.

only minor issues I've had with lag/interruption are when my microwave is active, that screws with my router signal(don't know how, it just does). besides that, only small issues are ending up in teams of people that split up just to go all the way back for a damn molotov(its a whole block back, leave it!), and not being able to play with friends/competent teammates(damnit ryan, leave a space open)
other than that, its pineapples.
Microwaves can/will interrupt wireless waves because they're waves flying around. Although they're different frequencies it's still causing "traffic" in a way. I can't really explain it to you, didn't pay attention in science class.
wont lag cuz wouldnt we be playing on lan :o
Even then, the interference cause by the microwave can still fuck up the electrical signal if it's placed close enough to the router. All depends on placement.
Also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW8tE93Vx8Q&e. NSFW. ROFL.

while I really hope for more variety in zombie-movie-themed levels... I really hope they don't do that one.
Not even thinking of Dead Rising having covered that, but I just think that's the last zombie flick you want to take notes off of.
But thinking along those lines, the route taken in Shaun of the Dead would fit in with the rest of the game, I think. (get to the Winchester and that's where you wait for your rescue)
the DofD map is a user-created map, simply based within the area around the mall, not the actual town itself; It actually doesn't look too bad.
A map based off of 'Shaun' wouldn't work as well as you may think, since they had the regular slow-moving zombies, but its still a good concept.

If we're just talking "map", they could probably do it. But yeah, if we're using their zombie types too, then it wouldn't fly.
I was thinking along the lines of the 4 released campaign levels usually feature some indoors/outdoors flip-flopping on the way to several destinations. In a mall setting you're in the one building or "level".
But if it's user-created then nevermind all together XD lol
UCC is a free-go (unless you have a PS3 and posted a Little Big Planet level, apparently)

Stay close to the team!
I cannot stress that enough XD lol I play with so many people online that just run the frick ahead of everyone else and essentially screw the team over (getting hurt so we need to heal them but they wont heal us, leaving us to die if a tank shows up, etc etc). When you play versus and your team's the zombie side, you still gotta work together if you wanna take the humans down. Coordinate attacks.
I love Halo, but this isn't the same type of game where you can get away with just running @$$-first into battle throwing grenades in random directions just hoping to get a kill T_T
You can vote to kick a player off, but it really sucks to do that...
But yeah, you shouldn't have too hard a time or really die as long as you at least have one person with you (if a hunter jumps you or a smoker grabs you and you're alone, you can say goodnight lol). So if you want to go back and get that other pipe bomb you saw or more ammo from the safe house you left not too long ago, :D take your buddy! lol
If you're ever online (have not see ya once, yet lol) we should play. I love that game.

That'd be a really cool idea (and considering Xbox is
Microsoft and xbox is still
online). Huh...I don't think they can, though.
Thats suprising, because for example I thought all FFXI players can play with all other platforms (i.e. usa and japan can play on the samer serviers) which should mean that cross platforms should be able to do the same too right? (going under assumptions)
because i know FFXI plays on PC, ps2, ps3 (technically) xbox360. because if they split it up via consoles, then I'd figure the console players would have no one to play with?
So I'm hoping PC and xbox 360 players could cross platform and play via the same server...
More research needs to be done on this to get a definate answer... ???
Since the PC version runs using the Steam game service(which is owned by Valve), it cannot be played together with Xbox LIVE(which is owned by Microsoft).
The short version: You're screwed.

I know this should probably be in the ask Dr. O thread....
but what if you mixed Steam with Windows? ? Thats right ... smexy results.
or you could say i wish i could take a pipe valve and bash it into a Microsoft head with it.
eh, it sounded funnier about 5 minutes ago. :P
Yeah, cross-platform gaming depends on whether the publisher is interested in making it happen and if Microsoft green-lights it. If the publisher isn't, then it's not going to happen, and that seems to be the case with Left 4 Dead. They didn't bother with Team Fortress 2 either, for that matter, of course the reasons are understandable in that case (IIRC 360 TF2 games are limited in the number of online players compared to the PC cousin, plus the 360 version is being slower in getting out the class upgrades as well as not being free with them). AFAIK, there are only two games for the 360 that are cross-platform with online play, and those are FF XI and Shadowrun (that one showing the problems with cross platform online shooters, since it was nerfed to accommodate 360 players using controllers rather than keyboard/mouse controls). They're trying to add Champions Online to that list, but that's now a matter of Microsoft giving the okay for it.
For those with a Xbox 360, would we need a gold membership account to play online?

Yeah, you would.
As predicted I got it for christmas, username on xbox is the same as here if anyone wants to play. And I mean ANYONE because at this moment I have no one to play with.
This game is on sale, so if you haven't bought it and want it BUY IT NOW.
I'm supposed to be playing it right now with my brothers but 2 of my roommates are on my xbox playing my Halo 3 T.T (they're on mine and not [one of]theirs because his girlfriend and sister are playing on his).
...sucks....
To add onto what Mizuki said, make sure you computer can support the game. I found out first hand that with my com, I can only lessen the lag, not get rid of it. That being said, I need to upgrade my laptop. If I can't do that, its time to put the game on the shelf... boo hoo.

Also, that sounds damn near impossible to pull off.
Basically if you know a witch is near the area, and there's a tank after you, wait til he lifts the stone, go in front of the witch and have the tank throw the stone at the witch, and tada you have an awesome monster infight, almost as epic as Spider Mastermind and Cyberdemon.
The odds on pulling that off seem pretty huge, or you just wait near a Witch and hope a Tank will spawn......now I just need to round up some ppl on Steam to pull that off.
or just cr0wn that witch lol

The long-talked-about, much-anticipated Left 4 Dead expansion pack, hits the PC and Xbox 360 this spring.
The L4D Survival Pack introduces a new multiplayer game mode entitled, Survival, plus two complete campaigns for Versus Mode, Valve announced today. They also say that a Critic's Choice Edition of the game is heading to retail stores this spring, and will include access to all the content introduced in the L4D: Survival Pack.
In addition, PC gamers will be able to get their hands on the first Left 4 Dead release for the Source Software Development Kit which will allow the creation of custom Left 4 Dead campaigns that will be discoverable via L4D's matchmaking system. The SDK update is also due for release this spring, and is free of charge to all owners of L4D on the PC.

that and I semi wish that Boomer slightly would take more than just 1 shot to die. :P

I wanted to know if anyone would be willing to play some rounds together since I'm tired of having people that betray you all the time when your humans on vs :/ kinda lame when your on the floor till they die.
But yeah I wanted some help on getting the expert campaign achievement since I can't really find actual people that can go through with the game.
