DANCE!!!

@xOchiix:
I have never seen an age restriction, nor did anyi=one ask my age or anything.

If there was, it would likely be 13, or if not that, 15.

Better wait for a answer from Staff though.

Hopefully there isn't an age limit :D
But I'd surely understand if there was one.
But oh my, how fun it'd be! x3

Aaanyway, I never go to the dances anymore becuse whatever you call it, it has nothing to do with anime and I cant stand techno crap.

But I loves the Techno...
But in all honesty there was not that much at the last da-, er, dance. It was all very main stream. I hate main stream (-_-).

Its called a dance for a reason... not a club not a place where techno kids get together

It isnt the other term because to me in my opinion its kind of like a high school dance since its a list of everything except you get drunk people in the early hours of the morning.

pfft Techno is overrated, and at these dances its been the popular genre to play for the last three years, I think a mix of everything with clean transitions would be nice. Not just restricting it to anime, videogame and techno music I mean alot of people want hip hop and funk, 80's, ect. I have been to these dances for a while and I havent really heard much of that though last year, One of my friends went to the dance and it was her first fanime, shes also a clubber so she felt a bit sad especially since alot of people didnt want to dance but were standing there.

At Sakuracon it is asolutley NOT supposed to be called a rave even though thats exactly what it is.

Its an anime, japense convention dammit.  I would be perfectly happy compromising and having one J-music and one techno dance but no, we cannot even do that. We have to be 'fair' and allow ALL the dances to be techno and trance.
On the SC forums there are a coule of headonistic douchebags who immediatly flame any one who suggest anime music so no one any even bothers anymore.

It doesnt seem nearly as bad here, but I have noticed that just about every con has turned their dances into 'not raves.'
