Title: Angels and Demons
Post by: Mordyan on May 16, 2009, 03:51:28 PM
Anyone see Angels and Demons this weekend or planning to see it?

I just got back from it and found it to be a good movie. It is lighter on the whole puzzle solving business but cranks up the tension and action quite a bit more than Davinci Code.

Enjoyed it.  I would suggest watching it if you haven't.

I probably won't until.. a year later.

Plus, I'm uber busy with Fanime and school this week. ;.;

I have tentative plans to see it next weekend (i.e. the weekend after Fanime).  The book was certainly the better of the two.

I'm more curious how they got away of turning this into a sequel rather that being a prequel in the book series.

then again i havent read or watched the first movie either. :P

Meh, they only hint at the relationship...

But...I will say that the movie deviated enough from the book to piss me off a little bit.

I was like yes...that's cool and all...but it lacked some of the emotional flair the book had to make it super awesome.

I recommend read the book and skipping the movie. I haven't seen the movie but a friend told me the book is way better than the movie.

I have seen and read the Davinici code and I though the book was way better.

My friend said same about the book and the movie. Have not read the book myself.

The way they 'made' this a sequel is by saying that he was chosen for this new assignment because he had gotten some publicity from his prior experience as symbolist.

I did not enjoyed it much since I had seen the first movie. I kind of knew mid-way as to what kind of conclusion I could expect from this one.
