Hey, guys and gals! I'd like to ask a question from those of you who played and/participated in Cosplay Chess at Fanime '09. What did you think of it? We had it taped down on the floor so that those of you who wanted to could play it all day and night long, if you wanted. Would you like to see it like that again next year? Any thing that Tabletop can do to make it a better? Well please reply and I'll see what I can do for next year.
Tabletop Second - Fanime '09
I had alot of fun doing the Cosplay Chess. I would love to see it again next year and thought the tape was good so the game could last as long as we wanted it. Well there are some things that could be done to make it a little better, like nametags of what piece someone is with their color. I think for even being sorta disorganized when I played very late at night/early morning that it was alot of fun though :D
I loved it but it's as Kertus said it's disorganized. So, next year you guys should give players arm bands indicating their team and what piece they are. As for the chess board you should add letters and numbers. That way when the player (the guy who decides the move) moves a piece they can call out: 2nd Rook move to D-8. Rather then having staff trying to figure out which person to move to which position.
We should also hold a cosplay chess tournament.
Has anyone ever played 4-way chess?
I personally found it very fun, except when it got derailed at times.
Anyone interested in doing a day of cosplay (or not) chess outside of Fanime this summer (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,12659.0.html)?
I was a pawn and didn't make a single move until the very end of the game, which was greeted with instant defeat. But other than that, it was at least fun to watch.
