Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering/Event this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

It would be interesting to have a short CE (Cosplayer Event) for this series if people are interested. A tea party ... where we could bring cookies, cake, tea, and music ...
At the consent of cosplayers who stick around for the tea party, we will also make a short video for bearmoon (who runs a Pandora Hearts shrine). Mostly saying hello from the tea party ... and other character madness. ;)

I have a question for ye.
If something were to happen where I could not come to Fanime, would you like to have a backup gathering leader to ensure that the gathering takes place?
For now, I'll still be leader, keep updating the thread, etc.
BUT if something comes up ... I thought it best to plan ahead, just in case. x___x
I would post on the thread if I could not come so you'd all know, and the backup leader would then take over.
Or ... if I seem to have vanished off the the face of the forum/planet for quite a while in late April/early May, the backup leader would take over then. o__o;;
Any volunteers? Preferably ... someone who KNOWS for sure that they're coming. Even better--someone who comes every year, too. xD
(Until the con, the gathering leader merely updates the thread's cosplayers list and communicates with the moderator [BSaphire] as needed so that Fanime staff knows when/where/who/how/etc. about what we're doing at the gathering. At con, the leader signs in when the gathering is ready/should start so the Fanime staff can take photos while we ... gather. xD )
xXunyuuXx, since your cosplay group makes up half of the gathering, I would think ye the best choice for backup leader, but it's okay if ye choose not to.
I would be willing to if you're unable to find one. i was the rozen maiden and avatar gathering organizer last year and this is gonna be my 3rd year at fanime. So if you cant find anyone willing to do it, I'm always open and up for it, though i still hope u r able to make it XD disappearing wouldnt be good! lol

Its always fun making all kinds of costume for the character. Even though my Alice costume is done, I'm making other clothes for her like a Gothic dress and adding bunny ears to it. Just original clothes I came up with. I am trying to maker her white dress from when she was still a human.
I might show up as Oz. :)

I was looking for a cosplay costume and I was a little discourage by the size limits but I found pandora hearts costume in my size and I never really heard of it so I researched the character and could not stop watching this series. Lacie never was in the anime. She is an important person to Glen though. The graved that Oz tumble across in the first episode was Lacie grave.

Buying your costume is so much easier the making them but I got bad experience from buying them so instead I make them now \o/
My Alice wig gets tangle so very easily. I still need to use wig conditioner on it and brush it out and re braid it.
I also need to make new boots, I just bought some material so I guess I can start making them.

2. Front Marriott Side of the Convention Center Lobby (tree area)
3. Front Hilton Side of the Convention Center Lobby (tree area up in the corner)
or
somewhere in front of the fountains.
and I figure for the tea party everyone could head over to that area in front of the fairmont, i think its called the "Plaza De Cesar Chavez" when I looked it up ^-^ and we can set up what to bring and such
And about the times, whats best for everyone? Morning or afternoon? I can do anytime past about 1pm or so.

Theres a spot between the Marriot and the convention thats semi-private with alot of trees >.< I'm afraid if we make it in front of the fountains it might get too hot, like it did for the other gathering i organized for 2009. Or we could do what was originally planned ad meet in front of the fountains, idk I need an opinion or two, so everyones satisfied with the choice and can have a good time, ^^ cause thats what we're here for!!

As for silverware, i agree actually silver would fit the scene better but, Plastic would be easier :/ desposable and light. Wonder if there silver colored plastic silverware XD
P.S. MWHAHA I finally got the boots completely finished. >=D I tried out the idea I had to make the lip of the boot black like Alice's and it worked! Then I had dad paint the white heel Black! It looks just like her shoe ^.^ I'm so proud of it! Hehe now all that's left are gloves, which will be extremely easy to get. Thankfully I dont need contacts for this cosplay sense my eyes are already a light blue. Its not a soft purple/violet but it'll do ^^

I have a lot of left over fabrics from my costumes I was making so I can turn it into a giant sheets for all of us to sit on. If there's anything else you all would need, please feel free to just ask >< Now something to drink would sound good~ We don't want to drink soda with cake cause it would make us even thirstier from my past experience >< Juice or tea would be nice~ And meat sounds yummy! Good :3 haha and it seems like every year before fanime, I always have a nightmare about it!! Like last year, I was bringing one of my friends and had a dream we were driving to Fanime and it was like "oh wait go back, I left (blah blah blah)" So then when I was sure I had everything, we drove and drove and about one mile out of Fanime I was like "OH CRAP WE FORGOT HER!! O.o so we had to drive ALLLL the way back and by the time we got her and drove back to fanime, it was over. D: Scared me! When I woke up, I sprang out of bed and instantly got packed even when it was about 2 weeks away XD
Haha and the recent one I had...well as usual I forgot stuff AND the gatherings times never got confirmed so no one knew where to meet or what time O.o it put me in a panic mode, now I wont rest until Everythings packed and offical confirmed!! *dramatic music playing in te background* MWHAHAHHA!!

Im trying find the right wig color wig for Uncle Oscar, but Im having a hard time. I want to get as close to the real thing as possible.
I was hopin you guys could help me pick. Ive been looking at the cosworx wig colors and comparing it to this picture

Not a big fan of cosworx personally (excpet for the punky wigs)
And each style of wig is only avaible in a certain "color series" so I'd pick the style you want first.
If your up for e-bay, cosplaydna has a really nice golden blonde.

Yes, this is my 1st time gathering with other cosplayers, but my 2nd time attending Fanime =)

They are, myself and my friends have never had a problem, but they are slow (10-28 days) for standard shipping.
professionalonly & cog_marc are my other too favorite wig sellers, most of my wigs are from these three.
Uwah...I hate slow shipping...

Well there are really no specific poses for a gathering ever. Its mostly a group shot or depending on the photographer. If we like, we can do certain poses for them like for an example Alice and Oz, Alice and Gilbert fighting over Oz, Echo and Vincent. Such like that. I am cosplaing as Alice and my friend is Oz and if someone ask us for a photo during Fanime, we have a poses plan out already. It all depends on you. Try to capture the character personality and think how they would pose and act. Like me for, Alice is more of a tsundere and a RAWR pose and Oz is happy and out going. Hope my explanation is not too difficult or confusing... >O<

My friend who is Oz is shorter than me but when we go to other cons in our PH outfit, we have pose so that its hard to tell our height difference. Oz would kneel down in one knee and hold onto my hand like a gentlemen as I pose with the other hand on my hip. Its our signature pose~ Though it was tiring for her after kneeling down at least 40 times during Sac Anime during photo shoots and when people asking for pictures >O<

Ugh, that is also why I cannot do guys etheir >< When I did my Toph cosplay I had to blind my chest but kinda ran out of material ^^; heh it still worked luckily, but I felt like I was wearing a corset and it was hard to breathe at times. Least I dont have to worry bout that for any other cosplays

I have an unfortunate chest too when it comes to cross dressing as males.. Yes, it does feel like a corset, but in the end, it is perfectly worth it~ :)

Liz was like "at this rate the stairs would be faster" I just grinned and said "lets take the stairs then!" she thought I was crazy XD but it was actually pretty cool :3 and we found the floor with all the panels and it was like 'WO! shortcut!' XD haha ah i miss it now

Well I tried to ask my friend who is Oz and she not going to bring anything. She just said "no". Not really much detail on why.
But other than that, most of the people in my group is not attending now cause they're not prepare for it and giving me bullshit.

I have friends that attend gatherings and photoshoots with me that are either cosplaying a different series or not cosplaying at all ^^'
We talk/joke/chill. I run for a few photos with people, then I go back for more chilling.
It's not much different then hanging out anywhere else at the con really X'D
Wandering around people ask for different friends photos, we hold their bag (or photo bomb them), they run back and... why yes, even more chilling.

Yes, the admin of the thread has been inactive sense Febuary. On page 5 there is all the info ^^

Thanks So Much ^^ I really love that show, and sense my boyfriend loves the character horo so much, it was liek "hey i can pull this off and it'd be fun!" XD I'm gonna go for it. even if the ears and tail are gonna be crappy.. >.< if worse comes to worse I can wear that head band she has to hide her ears and just do the tail XD I already found a pretty good wig. just getting her hair color just right is frusterating :/

With such a short notice you can't risk buying one online. I'd say do a google search for wig shops close to your house and see if they have them in stock or if you can order them. =\ there isn't much else you can do except for maybe checking coscom marketplace and see if you can find a wig you like and if they can expedite it to make it get here faster.

Thanks So Much ^^ I really love that show, and sense my boyfriend loves the character horo so much, it was liek "hey i can pull this off and it'd be fun!" XD I'm gonna go for it. even if the ears and tail are gonna be crappy.. >.< if worse comes to worse I can wear that head band she has to hide her ears and just do the tail XD I already found a pretty good wig. just getting her hair color just right is frusterating :/

Lol no problem~ We can come up with certain pose. I can sit on the floor or something since Ilya usually portray a sweetness like but wicked at the same time and Rin is a Tsundare so you can stand and put on hand on hip. That should balance out our height.

Actually you should do a Tales gathering in general because Tales is a big series just like Final Fantasy and such. Would be weird just to do one part of a big series like for an example a Final Fantasy 7 gathering when you can just do a Final Fantasy gathering. Btw, there is already a Tales gathering every year so we can just join in. There was one this Fanime which I was in too.
I think you should choose both, it will be an exciting challenge, yes? :D

The anime for TOS was quite old and it wasn't even done yet. There is so much more to it then how they end it but thank gawd they are continuing because Presea and all the other character hasn't shown up yet. Watch Tales of the Abyss since it follows the game precisely. Then Tales of Eternia and Tales of Phantasia. Eternia is about 13 ep and Phantasia is another OVA about 3 ep. >w<

No no I've played some of it at my friends house, only place I can actually find to really buy it is ebay DX but I have tales of symphonia 2. And actually they're slowly releasing more episodes of the anime verison, they released one in April..still waiting for the next one...
@Mymidnightaffair: Well if you use clear straps it should be fine. Its clear and barely visible and holds quite well. I understand how parents are anal because they are just over protected. Can be annoying sometime. Trust me I know *.*
