I got the urge to golf and the urge to cosplay, missing Fanime. After asking some friends if they wanted to go I decided to post it up here on the forums to see who else is interested.
Date: July 25th

Place: Sunnyvale Golfland
Directions given from site: From 101 Freeway:
Take the Lawrence Expressway exit, turn South onto Lawrence Expressway (Left turn from San Jose direction and right turn from San Francisco direction)Take the El Camino Real exit and turn right. Go straight until you hit 855 E. El Camino Real we will be on the right side.
From 280 Freeway:
Take Wolfe Rd. exit and head North (right turn from San Jose direction left turn from San Francisco) go straight, parking available from Wolfe Rd. shortly after the Wolfe/El Camino Real intersection.
I've never put together a meet so lets just see how this goes.

Hate to say this, but you're up against the Gilroy Garlic Festival and Ultimate Game Night gatherings that day.
well we'll just see what happens. It'll be ok at the very least I can have a good weekend with my friends.

Maybe I'll bring my A. Michel cosplay. Then go into the SVGL arcade, get on the Pop'n 16 machine, and play as A. Michel. XD
I totally forgot about the arcade! Now I'm even more excited.
I just realized: This is on a Saturday. If I go to Arcade Mania beforehand (9 AM - 12 AM), I'm already there!
I am interested. Cant be 100% sure I be able to make it. I won't cosplay though...

I'd really like to attend this event, but I won't be able to get to the Bay Area until some time in August.
I enjoyed attending the golf meet-up last year and I'd like to be able to take part in it again.
Also, because of the big event that's going on on the 25th, it might be better to change the meet-up to a later date, since it'd be less crowded.
Id have to talk about it with friends. I know some already got the day off of work.
I would if I could, but I'm already having 2 other gatherings on Saturday and one on Sunday.
Maybe you'll have more gatherings at Golflands?
I miss a good ol arcade hang out :P

Dont worry about changing it, have fun and just post up pictures and we'll do the same. :)

turns out I'll be in my haruhi outfit. It was that or my kimono, cause I really dont feel like wearing my wig x_x the hair would make it hard to golf.
Damn! Turns out I have stuff to do with my family in the afternoon, so I'll only be available until 5.
I'm unsure if I'll be cosplaying, since I'll feel embarassed cosplaying unless I'm with another cosplayer.

I would like to, I just dont know when. Goign on a weekday would have been easier so we werent in such a crowded place but now I'm in school in SF. I can come home on thursday-monday sometimes. I dunno XD someone set it up and I'll tell all my friends to be there.

most agreed! well something will be figured out. You can always put together the event and I can try to swing by XD....hmmm thursday nights might be good to avoid crowds.
Thursdays may not work out for me as I have class the morning after, at 9:30AM.
