I travel a lot for work and I like looking for local joints to eat at, rather than chain restaurants. Po'Shines in Portland, OR trains at risk youth to work in the food business AND has great food. The day I ate there, ribs and fried chicken wings were on the menu. Not seen in the photo is my side of red beans and rice. (I ate the red beans and rice, and one rib (out of three) and had to take the remaining ribs and chicken wings on the plane back home with me to CA. My bro was very happy!)

Yeah frozen yogurt is pretty awesome. Ironically I'm the simple vanilla flavor is fine by me. :P
actually i bake the potato, and grill the steaks with a mediteranian spice rub, medium well. the beer is served cold, of course.

A co-worker brought in a cheesecake from Vanessa's Bistro (locations in Walnut Creek and Berkeley) flavored with Vietnamese coffee with oreo cookie crumbs on the sides of the cake, and mixed inside. Because I am a bit of a dork, I find myself trying food just because of the sound of it. I was recently in Louisville, KY and found myself at Mark's Feedstore, a barbecue food food joint. Awesome ribs, extremely awesome buttermilk pie (like chess pie, or an egg custard type pie but super delish!), but the fried pickles appetizer were an immediate hit with me and one reason I would come back to this place.

I just tried fried pickles for the first time ever on a recent cross-country drive! I'm from the south, but I'd never had them before, and they were divine!

... While I am not sure this is my absolute favorite it was the only thing that popped out from the memories of deliciousness in my mind*including todays*. After a long drive to New Mexico my Grandmother let us in and gave us some leftover homemade tortillas (made with lard) and made some bacon and eggs. We put everything in the tortillas and ate breakfast. It is so delicious and remains one of the best things to eat ever.
My mother's homemade pho. I've tried plenty of pho dishes from several restaurants, but they just don't compare. After school, I take the bus to Milpitas and order up some Dakao bahn mi sandwiches.

We were at sea and the only food we had was frozen pork riblets and microwave pizzas. Being sick of both I decided to combine the two, making a pizza and then wrapping it around the riblet. It was one of those deep-dish pizzas, too.
